✨ Happy New Lunar Year 🧧🐎- the Year of the Fire 🔥 Horse✨

Tomorrow we welcome a new cycle — a new year, a new rhythm, a new current of energy.

May this year bring renewed vitality, clear direction, and momentum that feels aligned — not forced. A year of movement, courage, and steady forward motion💕

For me, it’s also another new beginning… we’re moving again- closer to NYC 💜Another fresh start. Another opportunity to root deeper, grow stronger, and trust the unfolding.

Nothing works if we don’t accept ourselves💕

Here’s something I’m learning — later than I would’ve liked — in my mid-40s:

No practice works.
No routine sticks.
No mindset shift lasts.
No healing truly holds

if we don’t fundamentally love and respect ourselves.

You can meditate.
You can eat well.
You can exercise, journal, do the breathwork.

But if you keep overriding exhaustion,
ignoring boundaries,
and asking your nervous system to perform without safety…

Your body resists.
Your energy leaks.
Your health plateaus.

What I’m learning now is that self-respect isn’t a concept.
It’s a daily physiological choice.

It’s how you respond when your body asks for rest.
It’s whether you listen instead of push.
It’s choosing regulation over approval.

This has been humbling to learn later in life —
and also incredibly freeing.

Because once respect is there,
the practices finally start working.

This is why I teach qigong✨

I teach qigong because my body spent years stuck in survival mode.

After an accident in 2000, I lived with chronic back, neck, and sciatic pain, constant injuries, and getting sick far too often — even though I was doing everything “right.”

What was missing wasn’t effort.
It was nervous system regulation.

In 2009, a dear friend introduced me to qigong. I thought it looked slow… maybe boring🤫
But when I finally practiced it, my health began to change.

As my nervous system regulated:
• chronic pain decreased
• my immune system improved
• digestion stabilized
• my body finally stopped bracing

That’s what qigong does — it helps your body feel safe enough to heal.
