🚨 BREAKING: The Trump administration is considering a proposal to eliminate all federal funding for Head Start programs. That’s not a cut. That’s not a reduction. That’s a total program shutdown that has supported over 37 million children and families for nearly 60 years.

👶🏽 Head Start provides critical early learning, health care, nutrition, and family support—especially in communities that need it most. Bedford Stuyvesant Early Childhood Development Center (BSECDC) has been a cornerstone for families in Brooklyn for generations.

But without Head Start funding, our community could face:
❌ Shuttered classrooms and lost educational opportunities for young children
❌ Teachers and staff—many from the community—losing jobs
❌ Families left without access to affordable child care, health services, and support networks
❌ Local businesses and services impacted by the ripple effect of closures and job loss

This decision wouldn’t just hurt BSECDC—it would destabilize Bed-Stuy families, interrupt generational progress, and strip resources from a neighborhood that has fought hard for opportunity and growth.
