In the Lap of Luxury….

Benny (and Dr. Jeff) relax comfortably during an acupuncture treatment. Benny is certainly a Pint-Sized Pomeranian with panache!

As per his Momma this is his story…

“Benny is a 16 year young (according to Embark DNA) pure bred Pomeranian. He is originally from the Bayous of Louisiana, raised on gumbo and poboys and loves being outdoors. This sweet boy was adopted June 2020 and relocated to NYC and the ‘Good Life’ where he is enjoying his golden years. In his Golden Years, he has developed a fondness for extended sessions of Scratchies, also known as scritches, and long walks in the park where his servant carries him. Benny began his acupuncture treatments in January 2024 and continues to enjoy his sessions to the fullest.

There, you have it! And May The Saints Be With You!

After witnessing the great outpouring of affection from my followers after my previous post featuring this Elephant, I have decided, as Earthweek ends, to take an action that truly springs from the heart.

I have arranged to remotely adopt this magnificent creature and make him part of my extended family. Perhaps this gentle giant, is truly the “Big Brother” I always wanted?

His name is Sebakwe. He is forty years old; an elegant bull elephant and leader of the Jabulani Herd.
I met him on a recent Safari Excursion to Africa

His herd is a group of abandoned and orphaned elephants rescued, rehabilitated, and given a forever home where they all now live together. Every saved creature in this group has their own story of hardship, survival and eventual success.

Please help me to honor the special work of our planet’s animal rescuers, conservationists, and other heroes who seek to better our world, by reposting this message, contacting www.herd.org.za to partake in their elephant welfare project, or reaching out to the ecologically-minded organization of your choice.

WHERE’S WALDO? I meant LEROY!

I met Leroy quite a while ago, but he’s still remains a pretty shy guy. He likes to keep his distance.

He’s fourteen years old and his biggest issue was arthritis, which hindered his ability to get around.

Following today’s acupuncture treatment he decided to observe me depart from a “safe” distance. Do I take offense at his aloof goodbye? Not at all- I’m just DELIGHTED that he climbed up those stairs without hesitation.

A “Work of Art”….

My patient, “Ranger” presents as a ‘portrait of health’ as he enjoys his relaxing acupuncture treatment. Btw, his kitty Mom calls her handsome cat a “Masterpiece!”

Saturdays on Safari!

Say Aaah!

I had the wonderful opportunity to meet a very special resident at an elephant orphanage in Zimbabwe. As I understood his story, this charming fellow was stuck in a muddy ditch and then finally rescued. Unfortunately when he was reunited with his original herd he faced rejection.and was thus brought to live at this sanctuary.
