FUNDAMENTALS OF TEACHING AWARENESS PRACTICES TO CHILDREN AND TEENS
Discover proven, playful, and effective ways to share yoga and mindfulness with youth from ages 3 to 18.
We’ve developed this introductory course to give you the essentials of our time tested methodology. It covers the first three modules of our Level 1 training, giving you a foundation of knowledge that you can put to use right away, or use to pivot into a more comprehensive program.
✨Five Element Method: A clear, structured framework (based on our five-element methodology of connect, breathe, move, focus and relax) to make teaching and learning easier and more effective.
✨Guiding Principles: Best practices for safely and effectively sharing yoga and mindfulness based on real-world applications in hundreds of schools.
✨Relationship Building: Ways to support community building and help students learn collaboratively in a way that builds healthy relationships.
✨Developmental Perspective on the Brain and Nervous System: Research based information to help you understand why and when to incorporate various practices based on the needs of students in the moment, and what would benefit them developmentally.
✨Activity Toolbox: An array of engaging activities ready for immediate implementation.
This training doesn’t just scratch the surface. Together with a community of like-minded individuals, you’ll dive into practical, trauma-informed approaches that you can apply immediately in your teaching, coaching, counseling, parenting, or other work with children.
