Honeycomb Farm

Our main goal with Honeycomb Farms is to build an organic self-sustaining mini-farm in upstate New York that provides food for our selves and the local community alike. Chickens, peafowl and bees will be able thrive the way they are naturally meant to! A major concern is that as you probably know the honey bee populations are in major need of as much help as we can give them. By building an environment that will help them thrive and populate we hope to help improve the ecosystem one hive at a time. We would be selling at farmers markets and possibly try opening a little store to sell fresh eggs, honey, goat milk/cheese and of course fruits & vegetables. Eating right and living a self-sustaining life is something I really started trying to strive for after loosing my beautiful mother at 16 to lung cancer. I realized that I would need to change my life dramatically or I too could be leaving this earth way, way before my time... So we have decided to take our lives and nutrition back into our own hands! My mother taught me the importance of knowing what you eat and what goes into your meals as it directly relates to your health and livelihood. We will be using the funds raised here for...

1. An updated barn for livestock animals
2. A new coop for both the chickens and peafowl
3. Bee hives (of course) and equipment for bee-keeping
4. Trees for the orchard
5. Lumber
6. Green-house
7. Fencing for the parts of the property
8. Feed and Supplies
9. Tools for gardening
10. Emergency vet fund for all animals on the farm
