Dr. Svetlana M. Danovich is the founder of SD Medical Arts located in New York. She is a board-certified surgeon recognized internationally for her innovative techniques and surgical prowess. Dually trained and licensed in Cosmetic and General Surgery, Dr. Danovich is committed to providing the finest surgical treatment available, along with offering state of the art procedures to her patients. As an artist as well as a surgeon, she combines outstanding surgical skills with a keen eye for aesthetic enhancements to provide optimum natural results.
Dr. Danovich was born just outside of Moscow, Russia where she received both her medical degree (MD) and PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics from Voronezh Medical Academy at the age of twenty three. In 2003, she moved to the United States to undergo specialty training in the most advanced health system in the world. Dr. Danovich achieved academic excellence at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, graduating in the top tenth percentile in her class and inducted into the PSI Sigma Alpha National Osteopathic Scholastic Honor Society. She completed general surgery residency training at the prestigious Stony Brook University Medical Center in New York. Dr. Danovich went on to train in Cosmetic Surgery at New Look New Life Surgical Arts affiliated with NYU Lutheran Medical Center.
Dr. Danovich has been in private practice since 2013. She is affiliated with numerous hospitals and is an active member of many teaching programs in both New York City and Long Island. In 2016 she constructed a state of the art cosmetic surgical facility located on 52nd Street and Fifth Avenue in Manhattan.
Dr. Danovich is a distinguished speaker and writer of a broad range of cosmetic and plastic surgery topics in the United States and internationally; she has published in leading scientific journals worldwide. Her peers, the media and her patients have all recognized Dr. Danovich’s remarkable talent as a leading New York based cosmetic surgeon. Dr. Danovich and her team provide and maintain the highest standards of patient care and safety while treating everything from the negative effects of the aging process brought on by today’s busy lifestyle to the most challenging of cases.
