Each review means so much! Serving families, unique and exceptional kiddos is truly a gift!

Exceptional kiddos deserve us thinking outside the box. Standard is not an option.

When I learned about CME and the potential that this technique unlocks, I knew that this was an approach that I resonated with and needed to learn.

CME allows the therapist to provide new and challenging stimuli, with the goal of forming neural connections in your child’s brain.

This technique allows the child the opportunity to truly showcase what they are capable of!

Thank you so much for entrusting me with your kiddos’ care! It means the world! 💜

I can't stop the rain.

But I will hold the umbrella.

Even as my children get older,
taller,
and closer to grown.

Even as I know life is both.
Sunshine and rain.
Immense joy and immense hard.

I can't stop the rain.

Despite giving it my all.
Despite deeply cherishing.
Despite loving unconditionally.

The rain comes.
In aches. In grief. In uncertainty. In trials.

I can't stop the rain.

And I'm not meant to.

Because I know it's on me
to protect them from life's storms,
but to also give them the skills to navigate the waters.
To guard them from the floods,
but to also understand some rain is needed for growth.

It's a sacred dance we do as their mothers.

It's a back-and-forth rhythm of shielding,
while trying to grow their independence.
It's trying to raise them to be ready and capable,
while still protecting and nurturing.
It's holding on,
while gently letting go.

I can't stop the rain.

And it's my job to teach them to maneuver through it.

But for as long as I'm able,

I will hold the umbrella.

Because while I can't stop the rain,
I can give them the gift of knowing
that whatever they're going through,
if the storm becomes too much,
there is someone who will stand beside them

and hold the umbrella.

Sharing this as a post because of how often the musculoskeletal system is missed when addressing GI/constipation concerns.

Came to see this little lady because her parents were concerned with uncoordinated gait and balance.

On my evaluation visit I always complete a multi system screen (one body, many systems, all affect one another).
Mom reported that since birth, this little one had a bowel movement once a week (currently with the intermittent help of medication). This was more of a concern to me than balance and gait. Parents didn’t realize that the two issues can be symptoms of ONE cause.

These results were after the evaluation, with the treatment aimed at restoring symmetry to the trunk.

Symmetry and homeostasis are so important for development and well being!

If you have any questions, reach out! Always offering free virtual consults to address your concerns! 💜

This picture gives me all the feels!! 🥹💜

As a mobile practice owner, I am often asked if opening up an office is the goal. I won’t lie, there are times that I consider it. Mostly because, it would allow me to avoid wait lists and be able to help more kids. Commute is often one quarter to half of my work day.

But then I have sessions like this…where this little lady is cheered on by her twin sister for a job well done and pushing through, when her grandmother gets to watch her take steps with tears in her eyes, when dad gets to walk out of his home office and see all the progress that his little love is making. Nothing can replace that! 🥹🥹🥹

On top of that…for children who are often fearful of “medical settings,” being in their home environment brings them a sense of comfort and encourages them. It makes it so much easier for parents to then incorporate strategies into their daily routine.

As always, forever grateful for these kiddos and the impact that they have on my life!! 💜🥹

I am so excited to participate in this wonderful cause!! I will be riding as part of—Lulu's Crew / STXBP1 Encephalopathy Team— in order to raise funds for STXBP1 research.

Lucy is one of my patients and one of the sweetest little girls I have met. Her big blues eyes and bright smile are truly a gift.

My fundraising goal is $250, please help me meet and surpass it!! 💜

“The estimated incidence rate for STXBP1-RD is ~1:30,000, and STXBP1 was recently identified as one of the five most common genes for epileptic encephalopathies and related neurodevelopmental disorders.”

“Pathogenic variants (“mutations”) in the STXBP1 gene cause a spectrum of neurodevelopmental disorders that can include early-onset epilepsy and developmental delay, sometimes accompanied by autism spectrum disorder, increased or decreased muscle tone, or movement disorders.”

The Penn Medicine Orphan Disease Center hosts this event to raise money for research in rare diseases. Please consider donating to our cause and being a part of transformative research. 100% of your donation, less platform fees, will go towards rare disease research.

There is no stronger person, then a mom who follows her gut, advocates for her kiddo, gets up each day and takes on all that it has to bring—when she feels like she’s already given her all and has nothing left!

Thank YOU for inspiring me each and every day! 💜

New month (my favorite season), thought I’d check back in and share a little bit about me.

Most of my life, I have been someone that seeked external validation (not great, I know, working on it 😊). But, I think in many ways it lead to my career.

What better validation is there, then seeing a child accomplish a milestone and knowing that you helped them get there? Or, seeing a parent find hope, when maybe for a bit they were lost.

It’s no coincidence, that when I treat, I am often positioned behind the kiddo. It’s part of the technique, but also I feel that these kids are as much a part of my identity, as I am, a mirror into my soul so to speak.

So here’s to another month and another season. Thank you so much for joining me on my journey! 💜

The only way that I can sum it up is that these wonderful kiddos and families are the strongest, most inspiring and resilient human beings that I am lucky enough to know!

I am so fortunate to be able to make a small impact and know that the impact that they have in my life is 1000-fold!

Rare disease, rare kids, and an absolutely rare kind of love!!
