Barbie has done amazing work the past few years. There’s been a Barbie wheelchair user for years. We now have Down Syndrome Barbie, Autistic Barbie.

This past weekend I was out of town (NJ/NYC). When flying home we were in the new Jet Blue terminal at Newark Airport. I was happy to see some inclusive aspects of the airport.

Aside from the adult changing room, the restroom had an amazing latch to offer individuals who may have reasons why they can’t use a traditional latch or turn their hand for circle latches.

Kids crashed wedding for ice cream. Lunch with most of the cousins and now we’re braving the cold heading into Manhattan

My first exposure to children with disabilities was when my mom took me with her to volunteer with Special Olympics. I was 9 and shortly thereafter, I too became a volunteer.

It’s been awhile so allow me to reintroduce myself.

I’m from NYC, living in Florida.

I have two amazing daughters

I love my dog so much I made her my chief canine officer.

I dropped out of high school and got my GED before I would’ve graduated. I also have a bachelors and masters in Social Work from two excellent universities.
