This month, we honor the courage it takes to survive, to speak, and to rebuild.

To every survivor — your strength is a quiet revolution, reminding us that healing is possible and that no one should walk this path alone. 💜

Today, let it be simple.
Breathe. Rest. Notice the little things that make you feel alive — they count, too. 🌼

Happy Sunday 💛

Not all trauma starts with you — but healing can.

Many of us carry patterns, fears, or coping styles that didn’t begin in our lifetime. Yet, the conversation around generational and intergenerational trauma is often filled with myths that overlook how quietly pain can be passed on.
It’s not about blame — it’s about awareness. About recognizing how silence, shame, or survival patterns get inherited, and how therapy can help bring them into light.
Through art therapy, we can explore these layers creatively — expressing what words might not reach and choosing which patterns we want to keep, and which to release. 🌿

Every family passes down more than stories or traditions — sometimes, pain travels too.

When we pause to look closer, we start to see the patterns we’ve inherited — and the power we hold to change them.
Choosing to break the cycle isn’t about blame; it’s about healing for yourself and for future generations.

Through therapy and creative expression, we can bring these patterns into awareness and begin to rewrite them with compassion. 🌿

✨ Healing doesn’t mean forgetting — it means growing differently.

Sometimes what we carry didn’t begin with us.

Generational trauma can quietly pass through traditions, silence, and expectations — shaping the way we think, feel, and connect.

Noticing these patterns is the first step. When we bring them into awareness, we can begin to decide: what do I want to continue, and what am I ready to release?

Swipe through to learn where generational trauma can come from, and use the final prompts to reflect on your own story.

Gentle reminder: exploring these patterns can feel tender. Therapy offers a safe space to unpack and reshape them with support 💛

Sometimes the patterns we inherit feel like a family recipe—passed down without a written card, yet deeply ingrained in the way we relate, express, or stay silent.

By noticing the ingredients and instructions that no longer serve us, we begin the process of rewriting the recipe. One that makes room for openness, care, and resilience instead of silence, shame, or pressure.

Intergenerational change starts with awareness. And awareness gives us the chance to create something new—something nourishing.

DM me if you’re curious about exploring these patterns in art therapy.✨

What if the best parts of summer weren’t the big trips or packed schedules, but the quiet moments that helped you feel present again? ☀️

This summer, I didn’t have perfect routines or grand plans.
Instead, I found grounding in small choices:
🌸 watching the sky change colors
🌸 allowing slower mornings
🌸 listening to summer sounds
🌸 sharing simple meals with people I love

These weren’t “big” milestones, but they reminded me of something important, we don’t always need more doing to reconnect with ourselves.
Sometimes, we just need to notice what’s already here.

What’s one small way you reconnected with yourself this summer? Share it in the comments—I’d love to hear💛🌻

“Art therapy is only for people with severe mental health issues.” “The therapist tells you what your art means.”

These are some of the biggest myths about art therapy — and they’re not true.

Art therapy is a licensed mental health practice, rooted in psychology, trauma theory, and creative healing. It’s not about talent or making “good art” — it’s about expression, process, and finding meaning beyond words.

And no, your therapist doesn’t “interpret” your art. You hold the meaning — your therapist helps you explore it with safety and curiosity.

If you’ve been curious, this is your invitation to explore. 💛

What could you let go of this week? ✨

Mondays and Tuesdays can feel heavy — but they’re also an invitation to begin again. Start your week by gently releasing what no longer serves you:
– Negative self-talk
– Comparing yourself
– Over-apologizing
– Doubting your worth
– Unrealistic expectations
– Seeking constant approval
Letting go isn’t a one-time thing — it’s a practice. Start small, be kind, and notice the space it creates for clarity and peace. 🌱

“I’m not artistic.” You don’t have to be 💛

There are a lot of myths floating around about art therapy — that it’s only for kids, that you need to be creative, or that it’s not “real” therapy. This couldn’t be further from the truth.

Art therapy is grounded in clinical psychology, trauma theory, and neuroscience. It supports people navigating anxiety, burnout, identity shifts, grief, inner child work, and so much more.

And no, it’s not about the art looking good — it’s about creating a safe space to feel, process, and understand your inner world. The image becomes the bridge. The process becomes the path.

If you’re curious but hesitant, that’s okay. I’m here to answer questions or just hold space as you explore what support could look like💛

Do you give yourself time to really sit with your feelings? ✨

The more we pause and listen, the easier it gets to detangle what’s within. Therapy can be the safe space where we begin practicing this — gently, one step at a time.
