April is national stress awareness month. Stress is defined as any challenge that can affect a person’s thoughts, behavior and feelings. Some warning signs of stress are headaches, feeling overwhelmed, lack of sleep, difficulty concentrating and lack of appetite. Different people react to stress in different ways like biting their nails, grinding your teeth, picking at the skin, snapping at people and much more. The best way to decrease feeling stressed is by taking deep breaths, thinking of positive thoughts, laughing, connecting with others and meditation/yoga.
