Body Dialogue Body Dialogue is a somatic healing modality created by Janice Stieber Rous.

As a practice in embodied mindfulness, Body Dialogue synthesizes Breathing Coordination, the Alexander Technique, BodySoul Rhythms®, and Yoga. Body Dialogue is a practice of present moment awareness that enables a person to recognize their patterns, both physical and emotional and allows one to shift into a more integrated and aware state of being.

We live in an environment of constant bombardment on the nervous system. No matter your age, your nervous system is impacted by your mental, physical, and emotional environment. These ongoing challenges hype our nervous system and can create emotional undertow.

Can you imagine giving your body easy nourishment that can have lasting impact? Join Janice Stieber-Rous, creator of Body Dialogue to learn tools and practices to nourish and restore the dynamic balance of your sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems.

Drawing from Alexander Technique, Breathing Coordination, Yoga, Qi Gong, and BodySoul Rhythms(R) this workshop will offer guidance so you can feel grounded, relaxed, and expansive in your body. You will learn simple practices that you can take home and incorporate into your daily life to reduce stress and feel better.

Please wear loose fitting comfortable clothing that is easy to move and breathe in. Bring a yoga mat, a spill-proof water bottle, a journal and a pen or pencil.

In today’s world, our attention is constantly pulled in many directions—the latest news, the feeling of chaos, the ups and downs of life, and the endless distraction of social media. But what if there were a practice that could bring you back to yourself?

From the Body Dialogue perspective, we come home to ourselves by coming back into our bodies. So often, we leave our bodies by retreating into the mind—seeking control, becoming scattered and disconnected. But through breath and gentle, slow movement, we can return.

We are excited to announce our upcoming Body Dialogue Zoom Series: Navigating the Aging Body

In a world filled with chaos and uncertainty, we need spaces that foster coherence, resilience, and connection. This four-part Body Dialogue class is an opportunity to come together, breathe, and create a collective field of stability—a reference point we can carry into our daily lives.

Through guided practices, we’ll explore movement, breath, and awareness techniques that help us release tension, regulate the nervous system, and expand into a greater sense of ease. We do this work individually, but within the support of a group—strengthening our ability to radiate that coherence out into the world.

This workshop will provide you with practices to nourish, restore and regulate your nervous system during these nerve wracking days.

Using the tools of Body Dialogue, a somatic wellness modality, this workshop will provide you with practices to nourish, restore and regulate your nervous system. Body Dialogue will introduce you to embodied mindfulness and present moment awareness through dynamic stretching, visualization and breathing coordination. Participants can expect a synthesis of the Alexander Technique, yoga, Tai Chi, natural movement and self-reflection.
