The art of letting go.
In Ayurveda, life is a beautifully mapped journey through distinct stages. For years, we reside in Grahastha (the householder stage), a period defined by the root Graha, meaning to grasp. We hold tightly to our careers, families, and security.
But there comes a sacred junction.
In a recent podcast episode with Shruti Mishra, founder of Osh Wellness, the very knowledgeable shared a beautiful perspective on this shift. She reminds us that transitioning into Vanaprastha (the forest-dweller stage) isn't just a physiological change; it is a profound spiritual evolution.
Menopause serves as the threshold. It invites us to transition from holding on to gracefully letting go, stepping into a season of deeper reflection and freedom. It is the moment we realize who we are is independent of what we possess, and we begin to whisper to the world: this is not mine.
