nuqneH! If you've ever watched Star Trek, this word may ring a bell. It's Klingon for "hello", a language created specifically for the film by linguist Marc Okrand.

Today, thanks to the Star Trek-loving community and the language's inclusion on Duolingo in 2018, there are almost a hundred fluent Klingon speakers worldwide.

The language is so popular that even classic works have been translated into Klingon, such as William Shakespeare's "Hamlet" and Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol".
