Look how happy we are to be in the presence of our old friend, Texas' favorite son Billy Stritch -- who dazzled alongside the talented Melissa Errico as part of Austin Cabaret Theatre's 'The Secret Diary of Mrs. Santa' at one of our fave haunts, Parker Jazz Club last month.

Team MTF is so blessed to be part of this incredible Austin music community!

Another fabulous night of music with our friends at Austin Classical Guitar and their most recent installment of the ATX Music Series at The Rosette with Zell Miller and Daniel Fears.

We’re proud to continue to support this showcase for local artists in 2026 and partner with ACG to spread the word about our mission to help professional musicians with upper limb injuries to keep the music playing.

MTF will be on hand for more ATX Series shows in the coming months. Visit the EVENTS page on our website to find out more!

It turns out there's no place like HOLE IN THE WALL for the holidays, where Team MTF recently made merry and caught our own Outreach Manager, the debonair Nick Adamo onstage as part of the annual Grapes & Friends Xmas Extravaganza.

Happy Holidays to all our music-loving and music-making friends, and to our amazing band of supporters!

Some more of our favorite moments from this year's Underwater Sunshine Fest -- two magical days and nights in NYC that kicked off the holiday season.

We owe more thanks to all the legendary artists who performed at our MTF Prelude at The Cutting Room and to the UWSF team for bringing MTF into the middle of the action to capture the spirit of this amazing showcase for indie artists, many of whom are pictured rocking out here.

Join us in wishing MTF board member and artist supporter John Leventhal a very Happy Birthday!

If you've been to an MTF benefit concert, chances are you've seen John strumming a guitar on stage, championing our cause and eliciting smiles from his fellow performers.

Thank you John for helping MTF keep the music playing for all!

About the Musician Treatment Foundation

Musician Treatment Foundation was founded in late 2017 as the first nonprofit of its kind – in design, scope, and breadth – to assist in providing free specialized upper limb treatment and continuity of care for needful musicians at home and on tour.

To date, MTF has made it possible for dozens of uninsured and under-insured professional musicians in Austin and NYC to receive free orthopedic surgical and nonsurgical shoulder, arm, and hand care that would otherwise have cost over $1 million in total.

Now, we are building a nationwide network of ~100 orthopedic surgeons, hand-picked for their ethics and expertise, to join our efforts and help more musicians around the country.

MTF is overseen by a distinguished board of directors that contributes keen expertise in business, design, education, healthcare, law, technology, and of course music. The board is chaired by the founder, renowned orthopedic surgeon O. Alton Barron, and includes the legendary Elvis Costello, Diana Krall, and other luminaries in their respective fields.
