👋 Hey!

Thanks for checking out our page.

We’re not prioritizing short-form content creation much right now but we are hosting loads of monthly classes, facilitating support groups, training teachers, sending weekly newsletters, and creating community off the app.

We’ll try and post an update once a month or so to keep things current, but between those updates, scroll through our past posts to get a sense of who we are or reach out through our website with thoughts or questions.

We’d love to chat.

The idea of a C-section birth can bring up a multitude of feelings.

At Birthsmarter, we want to give you practical knowledge to help you know what to expect and a framework for thinking about birth and recovery that allows you to make the choices that work best for you and your family.

It’s very important to understand how your provider will handle this both before and in the moment. So, we’re sharing six questions you can ask when discussing cesarean birth.

☺️ Birth Story Below ☺️

”After being awake for about 42 hours… and in labor for 31 hours, baby girl was born!

I thought I needed to have an out-of-hospital, unmedicated and natural birth to feel like I conquered my birth experience.

But as usual, birth never goes according to plan. Turns out things happened exactly as they should have and I gained everything I needed and more.

I learned to trust my instincts. Surrender control. Accept help and love from others. Not apologize for making noise or taking up space and time.

Advocate for myself and ask for things I needed. Appreciate and love pushing the limits of my mind and body.

I walked away from birth a lot less traumatized by the hospital than I had anticipated and more proud of myself than I had ever imagined.”

Comment STORY and we’ll send you the link to our blog post with the full play by play of amazing birth story!
