The typical cause behind the need for a lower blepharoplasty is due to fat pads herniating into the upper cheek area and happens either 1) with age or 2) congenitally (which is why we see this even in young patients).⁠

DETAILS: The procedure is performed by contouring the lower eyelid fat pads which is made through a hidden incision inside the eyelid. Most patients feel comfortable to return back to work or social functions after 1-2 weeks.

Wow! We are so thrilled for our patient.

PROCEDURES: Here she is 3 months after a Horowlift, upper and lower .

GOALS: Address an overall tired appearance to the eyes. Her upper eyelid shape was influenced by the redundant upper eyelid skin along with her low brow position. For her lower eyelids, the lower eyelid fat pads were creating a puffy appearance which can make the eyes look smaller and portray a “tired” appearance.

DETAILS: The upper blepharoplasty helps address the redundant upper lid skin, the browlift corrected the low set brow position along with the hooding along the sides of the eyes, and the lower blepharoplasty helped contour the lower eyelid fat pads to achieve a more youthful and brighter appearance to the eyes.
