For as much time as I’ve spent reading the horrible events in the news, I also find myself scrolling through old pictures of the kids more than ever. Cherishing happy memories and trying to be fully present to make new ones.
I shared this on my story yesterday and it sparked a lot of dialogue in DMs so sharing again here… Things that help me when I’m overwhelmed:
Permission to slow down or say “no”
Quality time with friends and family - a phone call or FaceTime when we can’t be together
Go outside in nature
Honor the devastation and unimaginable loss, and realize it’s ok great to embrace the moments of joy and levity.
Practice gratitude
Take action - donate, volunteer, use your voice
