Second habit I want to point out - talk nicely to YOURSELF. We spend a lot of time in our heads and we should keep our internal world clean and positive. Self-compassion is not being in denial of the negative and the unpleasant parts of your experience. It is not dismissing or holding on to only the positive. It is being able to see the whole picture the good and the bad without judgment and with care and love.

It's all about the SMALL HABITS...
You don't realize how your daily habits, basically your daily routine actually makes you who you are... and determines your life and health status. This week I will share small things that you can adapt to your daily routine to make yourself healthier and happier 😊
First,
it is how you spend your mornings. The morning sets the tone for the rest of the day. I like having a cup of delicate flavorful hot tea. Taking a moment to breathe and sip my favorite tea... What's your morning routine?

Spirals...
Spirals have always had special meaning to me as a practitioner of holistic medicine. Spirals connect the six branches of life vital to living a Harmonious Life, and in holistic medicine, everything is connected; everything affects everything ⚛♻️

We are all aware of how detrimental sugar is to our health. Ingesting too much sugar can cause high blood pressure, inflammation, Type II diabetes, fatty liver disease, and of course, weight gain.

But what would life be without a little sweetness?
Let’s take a look at some of the sugar alternatives that are available.

Fruit
When we’re used to eating foods, even savory ones like bread and tomato sauce, that have added sugar, our tastes change. We are used to overly sweet tastes, and something like a piece of fruit can taste downright sour.
The trick is to reset your tastebuds by eliminating all added sugars for a time. When you do that, your tastebuds are suddenly awakened to how sweet a good, ripe piece of fruit can taste. Adding a banana to a mostly vegetable smoothie will provide plenty of sweetness to mask the greens in your drink. A handful of berries will taste like the perfect sweet contrast to tangy Greek yogurt. A juicy peach will make the perfect after-dinner dessert.

The only time you should ever look back is to see how far you have come.

"Lifestyle as medicine has the potential to prevent up to 80% of chronic disease; no other medicine can match that. In addition, it is potentially inexpensive and even cost-saving; free of all but good side effects; safe and appropriate for children and octogenarians alike. It is, quite simply, the best medicine we’ve got."

Nature soothes the soul. It has an incredible way of calming and rejuvenating a person, of clearing one’s mind and creating perspective on all the many tasks that need to be accomplished. Humans are meant to spend time in nature, but far too often we forget about its importance.

Even a couple of hours spent outside can make all the difference in the world. Get that sunshine, fresh air, Vitamin D, and healing grounding benefit. Also, spending time in Nature aids in reducing tension, and becoming more stress-resilient, decreasing anxiety, lowering pain and making one feel happier, healthier, calm & harmonious.

Make a plan on your calendar to spend time in nature this week. Pretend like it’s a top-priority appointment. Because it is. Your soul will thank you.
