Over the past year, our collaboration with New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) has created incredible experiences and meaningful memories for the Spoken Heroes community. 🎭❤️

Together, we’ve attended amazing performances, explored different forms of art, and brought students, families, staff, and supporters together through shared cultural experiences.

These moments have been about more than attending shows. They’ve created opportunities for connection, confidence, self-advocacy, creativity, and belonging.

We’re grateful to continue building accessible and inclusive experiences alongside NJPAC and look forward to many more moments shared together.✨🎭🌐💡

Spoken Heroes was elated to have been part of the 2nd Autism Awareness Conference, “Beyond Awareness: Action, Advocacy & Achievement in Autism.” Thank you to Essex County College West Caldwell for bringing together educators, families, professionals, and community partners committed to creating real impact.

Originally, this presentation was scheduled to feature our Founder and President, Steven McCoy, alongside our student, Danniell P. But in a powerful moment of leadership and inclusion, Danniell invited his fellow Spoken Heroes to join him on stage.

One of the most meaningful moments for our team was seeing Danniell share his story of autism during his first major speaking engagement. As an aspiring , he also spoke about the he has faced while pursuing his passion. His honesty, strength, and determination were felt throughout the room.

At , we believe in our students. We’ve had the honor of supporting Danniell’s boxing journey, including sponsoring his training sessions, and we’ve witnessed his growth not only in skill, but in confidence. His progress is a reflection of what’s possible when opportunity meets belief.

We also want to thank our students from Hudson and Bergen County West who came out to support their brother, Danniell. That is what community looks like.

We are proud of Danniell and all of our students. They are the heroes of today and tomorrow. This is how we continue to bridge the gap.✨🌍💥🥊

Every voice tells a story worth hearing. Meet James O., one of our brave Spoken Heroes, proudly wearing his truth and inspiring others to embrace their unique journey.

“Anxiety comes and goes, but don’t be afraid to fight back and trust yourself. If you want to do better, talk about it—whether with a friend or someone you trust. Keep going, don’t give up and believe in your strength. You have the power to be who you truly are. Keep feeling, keep fighting, and when the time comes, run with confidence.”

James’s story reminds us that strength lies in resilience and self-belief, and that every challenge can be transformed into power. When we wear our voices, we break down stigma and build a community where everyone is seen, valued, and celebrated.
