We’re excited to spotlight Kate Mattson, MA

Kate graduated from Temple University with her Master’s in Counseling, concentrating in Mental Health Counseling. She brings experience from both private practice and community agency settings, working with individuals across the lifespan.

Kate is especially passionate about supporting children, adolescents, and young adults as they navigate life’s challenges, transitions, and family dynamics. She creates a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental space where trust and collaboration lay the foundation for resilience, growth, and healing.

Outside the therapy room, you can find Kate reading a good book or listening to Taylor Swift.

We’re excited to share our latest book club selection: What My Bones Know by Stephanie Foo. 📚

This powerful memoir explores complex PTSD, healing, and the lifelong journey of self-compassion with honesty and courage. We’re grateful to Stephanie Foo for such an important and deeply personal contribution to the conversation around trauma and recovery.

As therapists, this book invites us to reflect on how we show up for those we serve. We strive to embody the attunement, curiosity, and skill demonstrated by Dr. Jacob Ham.

We invite our community to read along with us.

Let’s continue learning, growing, and healing together.

For this month's we’re proud to highlight the excellent work of Dr. Stephanie-Joy Grigg, one of our NBH therapists. Dr. Grigg offers compassionate, affirming, and culturally responsive therapy to individuals and couples. She is dedicated to helping individuals from marginalized communities. In that spirit, Dr. Grigg recently facilitated a powerful discussion centered on the mental health experiences of Black individuals—an especially meaningful conversation as we honor Black History Month. Thank you, Dr. Grigg, for your leadership and dedication to our team and the community we serve.
