The best mornings begin the night before.

Too many people try to start the day on the right foot without taking simple actions the night before. A little planning and light structure can completely change your morning energy.

Here are the 4 things I do at night to help me in the morning:
-Turn off screens 60–90 minutes before bed
Blue light and scrolling keep your brain alert. Powering down helps your body make melatonin and your mind settle.
-Eat a small protein-forward snack (optional)
If you’re actually hungry, pair protein + fiber (think apple slices + almond butter, or a handful of nuts with berries) to steady blood sugar. That means fewer 3am wakeups and a calmer start.
-Do a 5-minute brain dump
Offload the mental load onto paper. Add a “parking lot” list for tomorrow so your brain can rest.
-Take your evening supplements
I use a calming blend (like Magnesium Breakthrough by Bioptimizer) to support sleep and nervous system regulation.

As you’ll see, each of these evening actions directly supports a better morning and a better morning sets you up for success.

We’ve all been there… your kid does that thing for the hundredth time, and you feel your whole body tense up.
Before I learned how to ground my energy, I went straight from overwhelm → yelling → guilt.

Now, I keep a few go-to scripts in my back pocket to help me pause and reset.

Here are 3 scripts I use when I feel myself about to lose it:
1️⃣ “I need a second. Let’s try this again in a minute.”
2️⃣ “I’m feeling overwhelmed right now. Can you help me by…”
3️⃣ “I hear you. Let’s figure this out together.”

The words matter less than the pause + reset. These scripts buy me space to shift my energy before I spiral.

I thought doing more would finally make me feel less overwhelmed…

More lists.
More routines.
More “trying to be better.”
More pushing through.

But here’s what I didn’t realize back then:
All that “doing” was keeping me stuck in the same energy.
I was operating on the same frequency that created the stress in the first place. So no matter how much I did, nothing changed.

Once I started shifting the vibration I was operating on, everything clicked.
I stopped forcing, started clearing the noise, and learned to work with my energy instead of against it.

Now, my mornings feel lighter, easier, and way less chaotic and it’s not because I do more… it’s because I’ve shifted how I show up energetically. ✨

Don’t Put All Your Eggs in One Basket

Every day on social media or in my inbox, I see new “miracle” fixes for overwhelmed moms…
→ A new supplement to calm your nervous system
→ A parenting method that promises no more yelling
→ A mindset hack that “instantly” changes everything

And I get it. When you’re stuck in a cycle of stress, snapping, and guilt, you’re looking for something to work. I often have moms ask me,
“What do you think about this?”
“Should I try that?”

While I am always on the lookout for tools and strategies that support my clients in real, practical ways, I often end up rolling my eyes when something is marketed as the “only” solution to fix everything.

🚩 That’s a red flag. Why?
Because it ignores one major truth:
You are unique. Your energy, your patterns, your triggers, your life… require an approach that honors that.

Do some of these things work?
Yes, to a point. But they’re not miracle cures.

What actually works long-term is finding a strategy that:
✔ Respects your spirit, your energy and your reality
✔ Gets to the root of what’s really going on
✔ You can actually stick to

Jumping from one thing to the next thinking “this must be the one” keeps you in a cycle of searching, not healing.

So before trying something new, ask:
Can I do this long term?
Is this about deeper support or just surface-level promises?
Does this include accountability or is it a quick fix?
