Thank you all for your continued support. Mom is still healing, slowly but surely. We have a family Christmas trip we have postponed for a couple of years that I feel sure she will make this year.

I know that's a long way off but it's a goal and they help.

Everything she can look forward to is a push in the right direction.

We wish you all a very good morning and the start of the new week.

Much love.

Mom's visit to Charleston was a positive one. They removed her drains at the surgery site and placed in sutures. This should help with her comfort to sleep and no more worries about leaking or it backing up inside her body.

She will be visiting her physician closer to home and having a session or two of draining done. Otherwise they advised her that within a week or so she should start feeling better!

This hopefully is THE end of this chapter so that she and Dad can enjoy the next. 🥰

Thank you everyone for the continued support.

Much love.

I know you always do, please cover my parents in love and support while they have to get down to Charleston this morning. This was a last minute decision after her home health visit yesterday.

Mom has been doing very poorly, barely eating and won't get out of the bed at all. If you know her, this is not how she is.

Yesterday the home health nurse was able to empty 26 full drains from moms hernia surgery site! They believe fluid to be backed up in her body so they have sent her this morning to see the team at MUSC Charleston.

We are hopeful that they can help her today which will in turn help Dad too. Keep the prayers coming, they need them.

Much love.

Just a quick note to let everyone know how Mom has been doing. In a nutshell, not too good.

She's essentially bed bound right now with pain and can't hardly eat. Bluntly putting it, it's just not a great situation.

She has a return appointment next week to Charleston, we are keeping everything crossed in hopes that they can assist her with healing properly.

Dad is her superhero, standing by her through all of this and trying to be the best non- medical person he can be. I know this is hard on both of them unfortunately.

Please just keep her in your thoughts for some peace with the pain and frustration at everything going on. This is tough, but she's tougher.

Much love.

Just a quick update.

Mom was discharged to home the other day and essentially is not doing well at all.

She has an appointment tomorrow as a follow up, other than that there is not much to do right now except pray she heals well.

She has no full time healthcare and needs it but insurances won't approve her for inpatient rehab. They say she doesn't qualify 😡! I'm not the smartest of the bunch but I know my mother needs full time medical assistance to heal properly once and for all. She's been through hell and back this past year. It's time for her to get some relief and be able to enjoy and appreciate the transplant. *Off soap box*

Thank you all for the support and dedication to Mom and the rest of the family, it is appreciated.

Much love.

Dad said Mom made it out of surgery and is doing fine. Hoping for a discharge to a rehab facility to get her well finally.

Today is the day for surgery number 2 of 2026! Hopefully this is the last so Mom can finally heal up.

Keep the prayers and good mojo coming please. She's not done fighting just yet.

Much love.

Good morning everyone!

Poor Mom. Her knee has been killing her the past few days making life much worse when she tries to walk. This is another surgery pending until she gets better, but for now she's off to see if she can get some relief before tomorrow.

Tomorrow morning at oh dark thirty she will undergo surgery in Charleston to fix another hernia that is now wrapped around her bowels.

Afterwards, she will be transferred to a rehab facility and hopefully, when she returns home, she will be much better than she has been.

I've had every finger, toe etc. crossed hoping this makes life so much better finally. It's been a very long and hard year, time for a break. Please keep the prayers coming or good thoughts, it's all appreciated.

I'll update as I have info. One day y'all are going to get sick of me 🤣

Much love.

Good morning everyone!

Mom and Dad made it home last night.

She's still having home health and healing from the infection etc.

No results yet on the liver biopsy. We just keep praying for a good reading.

Mom and Dad will trek back to Charleston next week for her surgery. Afterwards she will go to a rehab for a few days.

We are hoping this next week or two things start looking up. Thanks for your continued support through her journey.

Much love.

I consider myself as transparent as possible without giving all of moms health information. She knows I'm here to protect her but we also like to inform others.

Yesterday ,during a scan, the doctor found something "suspicious" on her new liver. Due to her situation they decided to complete a liver biopsy today.

I'm nervous as a tick right now, I can only imagine her fear and dad's. Unfortunately I cannot be in Charleston right now but I am praying real hard for her. Let's all do the same, power in numbers.

Once we know the results we will definitely share with you all.

Much love.

Guess who's back? Back again?

Mom decided, or her body rather, that Columbia was not working well so she's been whisked away to the Low Country and is back in Charleston.

Her original wound site from the hernia operation earlier this year opened back up and she has a bad infection now. Her transplant team felt it best for her to be under their watchful eye.

Dad is at home getting a shower and a good night's rest then he will make the trek back down.

Continued prayers are very much appreciated.

Much love.

Just wanted to pop on and give an update. It's not much of an update though as the Doctors are still running tests etc.

On Monday Mom had five liters of fluids drained from her abdomen! Five! Jeez, when she was having her lungs drained pre-transplant they drained upwards of three liters. Five liters weighs approximately eleven pounds y'all.

Let's continue to lift her up and support healing.

Much love.
