Hey everyone!

Just a quick little update for you all on Mom's progress.

She was able to enjoy a visit from her sisters, Debbie Partain Corba , Lisa Partain Worrock and their husbands, Freddy Worrock and Carl, on Saturday. Yay for great weather and time together ❤️

Sadly, she was unable to go to wound care yesterday since she is not feeling well.

While we definitely celebrate the achievements we still stay concerned on setbacks. She has an appointment next week in Charleston, we just pray that it is a positive visit. I'm sure Mom and Dad are tired of that long journey to see a doctor, it's a 3 hour drive one way. Sometimes they return on the same day instead of staying overnight, which makes for them both being exhausted.

If you can spare a prayer or positive thought please send it. One day she will be up and about like she used to be. 🙏🤞

Thank you all for checking in with her personally and/or visiting. Small things add up.

Good morning to you all!

Nothing new to report but we wanted to share this and hope it might help you or those you know.

Mom has had a fatty liver for years and we just did not realize that cirrhosis would be the next step without testing regularly. Be aware to what your body is telling you.

Good morning to all of you ❤️

Mom is still continuing to heal. She is working on getting her energy and stamina back. Day by day.

She has an incision site that needs tending to daily with bandage changes. We hope this shrinks and closes soon.

Dad has definitely been her super hero. He takes care of everything she needs since us kids can't always be there since we are working full time.

Mom just needs your prayers and good thoughts. This is a lot for anyone, as we age we struggle to heal and it takes longer. She's doing what she can to get through.

Thursday decides if she needs to be hospitalized again until she is fully healed up.

Happy start of the weekend to you all!

Mom had a follow up appointment in Charleston this week where she received some unsettling information.

In one week Mom lost 21 pounds! While it did reduce her water retention, her not having an appetite for food and barely eating made her increasingly weak and unable to walk hardly.

The doctor has given her two weeks to maintain and/or gain some weight AND be more ambulatory.

My sister is visiting tomorrow and I am cooking for them Sunday. If anyone wants to drop off food in the next week or two I know they will appreciate it, and hopefully she will eat.

She knows what she needs to do and is trying but any encouragement from her angels is appreciated.

Happy Valentine's to all of you tomorrow. Know that we love you for all you have done and continue to do.

Good morning 🌞

Update on Mom. She's still not doing great. She's unable to eat very much at all, and does not have a lot of strength to get out of bed without Dad's assistance. She spends most of every day in bed.

She does have a doctor's appointment in Charleston tomorrow morning. We hope they can help her.

Please continue prayers as she heals.

I apologize for the delay in posting. I wanted to make sure Mom did not have to return to the hospital and then we had a snowmaggedon occur over the weekend.

Mom made it home late Thursday and has been resting mostly. She's really sore and in pain which is part of the healing process from the surgery. She has a 4-6 week heal time.

Dad is doing his best to be her caregiver but there is only so much that can be done right now.

Just keep her in your prayers. She's a warrior but I think she's just tired and in need of rest right now.

If anyone wants to make a meal and drop it off or meet me at LMC to bring it to them, I know they would be appreciative.
