Check out this new Daoism study group from our friends at Great Bay Tai Chi - it starts Monday, September 9, in-person or online!

New Daoism Study Group!

Beginning on September 9, we will have a weekly Daoism study group meeting on Mondays at 4:15pm at Internal Arts New England. We will be offering this group both in-person and via Zoom. Our study will begin with looking at the Dao De Jing (Tao Te Ching, Lao Tzu, or Laozi). If you own or have access to a copy, please bring it with you. Participation in the group is free; donations will be accepted to cover costs of time, materials, etc.

Many of you know and have practiced with Larry Rosenberg, the founder of CIMC : Cambridge Insight Meditation Center and the main Western teacher of NSIMC guiding teacher Matthew Daniell. Larry is now 91, and after a fall last year requires round-the-clock care, which is of course very expensive. Our friends at First Religious Society, Unitarian Universalist, Newburyport are offering a class series starting March 18 called Mysticism: An Interfaith Introductory Explanation. NSIMC's Ted Jones will lead the April 1 class with a talk entitled, "Thomas Keating, a Modern Mystic," focused on his uncle, Fr. Thomas Keating, who taught and practiced the contemplative practice of centering prayer. Learn more and register below!

Next Tuesday, Dec. 19, at noon, NSIMC's Effie Stavrulaki will offer the first reflection in the Serenity in the Sanctuary series offered by the First Religious Society, Unitarian Universalist, Newburyport! Free and open to the public.

“Simple, everyday stories of kindness and connection can often inspire us to see our daily lives in a different light. Join us in deep listening to these stories and in a restorative meditation practice.”

Effie Stavrulaki will offer a meditation and reflection at the First Religious Society Unitarian Universalist in Newburyport on December 19.
