South Coast Behavioral Health

South Coast Behavioral Health South Coast Behavioral Health provides a safe, accepting environment where people from all backgrounds and walks of life are welcome.

South Coast Behavioral Health transforms lives with evidence-based treatment that addresses the physical, mental, and spiritual wounds of Mental Health Disorders and Addiction Our practices in substance use and mental health treatment are based on compassion, integrity, and honesty. Grounded in the most recent scientific developments, we follow evidence-based techniques and pharmacological practices according to the guidelines offered by the American Psychiatric Association and the American Society of Addiction Medicine. South Coast presents an array of recovery support models and fellowships. We offer a selection of traditional therapies as well as holistic practices, such as yoga and meditation, to enrich our comprehensive approach. We also recognize that recovery from substance use and mental health disorders have certain aspects in common. Both are prone to relapse, especially early in the recovery process. Both areas of recovery must rely on a stable environment and a family and community support system. We encourage families and significant others to participate in the programs either individually or through family therapy.

Grounded in culture. Rooted in healing.

This Welbriety-inspired experiential group at our Oklahoma location created space for patients to connect through mindfulness, cultural reflection, and peer support. Through hands-on activities like bracelet making, patients engaged in grounding practices while exploring principles rooted in Native American healing traditions.

Our Native American program honors the importance of cultural identity, community, and balance, helping patients reconnect with themselves and one another in meaningful ways.

Healing happens when people feel seen, supported, and connected.

Connection, laughter, and growth in action. 💙

Our team in Oklahoma brought energy and intention to this experiential group through a whipped cream relay, a hands-on activity designed to strengthen impulse control, improve communication, and encourage meaningful peer engagement.

Moments like these remind us that healing doesn’t just happen in conversation; it happens through connection, shared experiences, and showing up for one another.

If you or someone you care about is struggling with fentanyl use, it can be hard to know where to start.

The good news is that help exists across a range of options. Some people begin with harm reduction tools, like naloxone or fentanyl test strips, which are designed to reduce the risk of overdose and keep people safe. Others may move toward counseling, medication-assisted treatment, or inpatient rehab when they are ready for more structured support.

Recovery does not look the same for everyone. The most important thing is finding a starting point that feels realistic and supportive.

When people hear the word fentanyl, it is often associated with overdose and danger. But there is an important difference between medical fentanyl and illicit fentanyl.

In hospitals, fentanyl is sometimes used to treat severe pain or during surgery. When it is prescribed and carefully monitored by medical professionals, it can be an effective pain management tool.

The fentanyl driving today’s overdose crisis is usually illicitly manufactured and sold illegally. It is often mixed into other drugs or fake pills, making it extremely unpredictable and dangerous.

Understanding this difference can help people make informed decisions and recognize the real risks associated with the illicit drug supply.
