Please help us welcome Kirsten Starr to the counseling team at Pointe Wellness Center 💙
Kirsten is a Licensed Professional Counselor and CSAC-S who brings a warm, grounded, and collaborative approach to therapy. With experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings, she works with adults navigating anxiety, depression, substance use, life stressors, and personal growth. Kirsten integrates evidence-based practices including CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and solution-focused therapy to help clients feel genuinely seen, supported, and empowered as they create meaningful change in their lives.
Kirsten currently has availability for adult individual counseling, both in person and via telehealth. She currently accepts Anthem insurance, with additional major insurances in process.

Kirsten is a Licensed Professional Counselor and CSAC-S who earned her bachelor’s degrees in Studio Art and Psychology from Christopher Newport University and her Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health and Addiction Counseling from William & Mary. With experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings, Kirsten values meeting clients where they are and believes growth often begins through authentic connection, reflection, and small but intentional steps forward.
Kirsten believes therapy is most meaningful when clients feel genuinely seen, understood, and supported. She takes a warm, grounded, and collaborative approach to her work, creating a space where clients can explore life’s challenges with curiosity, honesty, and self-compassion. Her approach is rooted in an existential framework and integrates evidence-based practices including CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and solution-focused therapy. Kirsten works with individuals navigating concerns related to substance use, anxiety, depression, and life stressors, helping clients reconnect with their values, strengthen resilience, and create meaningful change in their lives.
