Back to working on the cemeteries on Find a Grave among other projects.
But while "Field Work" is on hold beyond preparing ,gathering supplies and such, we try to focus ourselves elsewhere.

The book we are putting together which looks like it'll be at least a 3 volume set.
But as we finish each one we will release each one.

But essentially with the reviewing of the Sacred to the Memory Cemetery Books we are making sure we have as much info right on Find A Grave as possible so that way people can have access to what is correct.
Another part of updating cemeteries in Cocke County on Find a Grave is making sure their relationships and connected people are also correct as possible

We have a lot to accomplish but we will get it done. It is just a marathon not a sprint.

Update!

PVT Ardrey (ordrey) bell JR
States born and passed in OK
But parents and grandparents were born in Greene County TN.
Couldn't find any records of children or anyone he was an uncle of. So couldn't get any closer to finding someone living but maybe this will help locate someone.

We located more family portraits today.

We are not asking money for these.
We simply wish to return them to the families.
These are first come first serve.
However if there is interest in these is Beyond the 1 copy of each.
We can do what we have done prior and the first person gets the original and we make copies of the rest to send out.
Again we are not asking for money just help in getting them home.

The TNGenWebProject for Sevier County, Tennessee includes a letter with history of Sevier County from an 1856 Letter by M.A.Rawlings:

He stated, " Beyond the Taylor Schoolhouse was the Lichlyter Cemetery, now the Lawson Chapel Cemetery where all related families were buried. Most of these were Methodists."

the Lichlyter Cemetery pre-existed the Lawson's Chapel United Methodist Church and Cemetery, which was moved to the present site about when the Douglas Dam was built by TVA.

Could anyone point us in the right direction of where the present day site is.
I could review the TVA records but maybe someone knows offhand?

While we have been pretty busy otherwise as of late. We have made time as we could to keep doing research. We are currently focusing on helping a few people find their missing relations/parents.

This is what we do the most Is locating missing/unknown family through analyzing DNA results primarily from Ancestry DNA tests.

But we also can
Help locate missing records
Find where people are buried
And more research items.
