🌿 Thank you to the Newton, KS City Government Parks Department and Newton Public Library for inviting us to be part of the very first Fresh Air Friday!

We had a great time connecting with others and enjoying the beautiful weather. A special shoutout to our Diabetic Educator, Erica Stoltzfus, who led the Edible Plant Walk—teaching attendees how to safely identify edible plants and forage in our local parks! 🌱🍃💚

Join us this coming Friday, 7/18/2025 for the FIRST "Fresh Air Friday!"

Head out to Athletic Park to the North East corner under the shelter (marked on the flyer!) starting at 10:00 am where we will begin with Storytime and then head off to adventure along the Sand Creek Bike Path!

What to expect:
📚📖 Offsite Pre-K Storytime led by Newton Public Library very own Children's Services Coordinator, Sara R
🍃🔍 Plant ID & exploration with numerous experts from the City of Newton Parks Division staff
🌰 🌿Edible plant hunt spearheaded by Health Ministries Clinic, Inc. own Diabetic Educator and edible plant guru, Erica S.
