Today was all about honoring the divine feminine—to include all of my female ancestors who have walked this land and Mother Earth herself, in all of her divine glory and natural beauty. I walked along her rivers, climbed her mountains, and drove through her endless forests in Northern Wales. As I did, I felt the spirits of the land and the land herself breathe life into my very being. It was magical 🌙. I have long been convinced that nature is the master healer 🙏.
I also made a point to visit the Fairy Glen, where Sprites are thought to dwell 🧚🏼‍♀️, according to local folklore. Sprites are supernatural beings, like fairies, and they are usually associated with the element of water. Cultures that have believed in these beings include pagan and animistic cultures, especially in Scandinavia, Germanic, Celtic, Druid, and Hindu mythologies.
And it is just beautiful to me that in the Hindu faith, Navaratri is being celebrated this week. Navaratri is a 9-night celebration honoring the divine feminine in her many forms. It is also celebrated as the triumph of divine feminine energy (Shakti) over chaos and darkness. The central goddesses to the Hindu faith—Durga, Lakshmi, and Saraswati—are each celebrated for 3 days, and each of these 3 nights represents the divine energies in each Goddess: destruction of ignorance (Durga), cultivation of prosperity (Lakshmi), and awakening of knowledge (Saraswati). Jai Ma!!! 🙏✨
