Please help us welcome Jamie Minder, 𝐒𝐮𝐛𝐮𝐫𝐛𝐚𝐧 𝐇𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐞’𝐬 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐕𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫!

Jamie grew up in Northeast Ohio and earned her degree from Kent State University before making Indiana home in 2006. She spent the first part of her career as a fashion photographer—yes, she spent 9 years in marketing for an athletic shoe brand in Indy! 👟📸

In 2021, a life-changing moment came when she helped her husband’s grandmother transition into assisted living. That experience sparked a passion for senior care and led to a fulfilling role as a Life Enrichment Director, helping older adults stay active, engaged, and full of joy.

And when she saw Suburban’s mission—“Kindness. One person at a time.”—she knew it was meant to be.

🪴 𝐎𝐮𝐭𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤: Jamie is a plant mom to 36 indoor plants, stays busy cheering on her sons (Ethan, 6 and Owen, 12), loves nature, fishing, antiquing, dancing, and visiting senior communities with her goldendoodle, Harper.

🎉𝐅𝐮𝐧 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐭: Jamie and her husband, Ryan, met at a summer track and field league when they were just five years old—and they’ve been married 15 years!

Welcome, Jamie! We’re so lucky to have your heart, creativity, and energy on our team. 💜

💜 𝐀 𝐍𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐑𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 💜
Last Wednesday, July 16, many of our Suburban Hospice staff and patient families gathered at the beautiful 𝐅𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐮𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐧 event space at Geist (thank you for hosting us!) to honor and remember the lives of those we've loved and cared for.

Our director, 𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥 𝐒𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫, opened the evening, followed by heartfelt words from 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐉𝐨𝐬𝐡 about love, loss, and the power of memory. 𝐉𝐞𝐧 𝐉𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐬𝐨𝐧, Director of Patient and Family Services, shared a moving poem by Mary Oliver, leading into a memorial slideshow featuring the names and photos of over 300 patients we had the privilege of serving between May 1, 2024, and June 1, 2025.

The service continued with candle lighting accompanied by 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐢𝐞, who performed "I Will Always Love You" on guitar, creating a powerful and emotional tribute. 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐊𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐞 offered grief support reflections, and Josh closed the evening with a beautiful benediction.

To all who joined us—thank you. Your presence made this night meaningful.
Remembering is an act of love, and we are honored to walk with you through it.

Meet Stacey, a dedicated LPN with over 35 years of experience providing compassionate care to patients and families. Her journey in hospice care became deeply personal after supporting her own parents through end-of-life care—an experience that expanded her already big hospice heart. 💜

Stacey first joined Suburban back in 2015, took a detour to Michigan, and made her return to Carmel last year. Now, she’s back and thrilled to be part of the Suburban Hospice North Team!

Outside of work, Stacey loves reading, music, traveling, and spending time with her 4 children and 4 grandchildren. 🎶📚✈️👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

We're excited to introduce Tracey, an experienced LPN with over 20 years in healthcare.

Originally from Indiana, Tracey has also called Alabama and Florida home. Outside of work, she’s a creative powerhouse—into 3D printing, miniature house decorating, paper crafting, crocheting, and making junk journals. She also shares her home with four rescued cats and her 15-year-old Bichon-Westie mix, her loyal furry sidekick.

Tracey was drawn to hospice care because she wants every patient and family to feel supported, cared for, and at peace during one of life’s most important journeys. After interviewing with several companies, she chose Suburban because of the instant connection she felt with April and Jen.

We asked our Chaplain, Joshua, to share what Men’s Health Month means to him as a healthcare provider—and he gave us some great insight:

📣 When asked what advice he wishes more men would follow, Joshua said:

🏃‍♂️ For his own mental and physical wellness, Joshua laces up his shoes and goes for a run outside—often with a soul-nourishing podcast or audiobook in his ears.

Suburban Hospice was proud to attend our second golf outing of the week: the 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐟𝐞𝐥𝐭 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐬 𝐆𝐨𝐥𝐟 𝐎𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠, hosted by the 𝐑𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. A little rain couldn’t stop the fun—especially when it meant spending time with such a great community partner! 🏌🏼‍♂️

We were honored to join our friends at Riverview Health and continue a relationship we truly value. We’re proud to share that Suburban Hospice was well represented at the 47th Annual Hancock Health Foundation Golf Benefit this past Friday, June 13!

Right Time, Right Team, Right Care

For nearly 30 years, our Suburban Hospice team (formerly Hancock Regional Hospice) has provided compassionate and expert care for hospice patients and families in Greenfield, IN and surrounding areas. When curative treatment is no longer an option, hospice provides patients and families with the multifaceted support they need to make the most of their time together. Our expert RNs, HHAs, social workers, and chaplains care for the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual needs of patients and families throughout the last weeks and months of life.

Earlier this year, our hospice was recognized by Strategic Healthcare Programs as a “Premier Performer,” achieving a survey score from families we served in 2018 that puts our program in the top 5% of hospices in the nation. “Our families’ responses resulted in our program being…the only hospice in Indiana to achieve that rating. We worked hard this year to be sure our families were receiving the right amount of emotional and spiritual support and also as much training in how to care for their loved ones as they wanted. We talked more about the side effects of medication and about what to do when our patient seemed uncomfortable and how to recognize that. Those efforts clearly meant something to our families because the scores in those areas were even better than the year before”, said Jeannie Crowe, Executive Director of the hospice program. “This award helps us know that the care we provide to our patients and our families makes this very difficult time just a little bit easier and that means everything to us!”

On October 1, 2019, we officially became Suburban Hospice and have expanded our service area to include Riverview Health in Noblesville and Witham Health Services in Lebanon. We look forward to continuing our great tradition of compassionate, expert, and personalized care throughout Central Indiana.
