One of the things I love about exercise:
If you consistently do an appropriate workout for the goal you want to accomplish, it works. Every time. You will improve, you will get stronger, your body will become more efficient, you will improve your health (both physical and mental). Now go get moving!

My music era was the '80's. It's my go-to when working out and cleaning.

Equipment highlight: adjustable dumbbells
Dumbbells are a staple of resistance training! Adjustable dumbbells are, well, adjustable - the weight can be changed, saving you from buying multiple sets as you progress and get stronger. Not only a monetary savings, they also take up less space than multiple traditional sets of weights.

The set on the left retails for $60-70, which gets you two weights of 20 lbs each (or one weight of 20-35 lbs).
The set on the right (Bowflex brand) retails for ~$400, which includes two dumbbells that go up to ~50 lbs each.
The differences are in the maximum weights possible and the ease of adjusting them - the set on the left takes a few minutes to change (unscrewing the collars, changing out the plates, rescrewing the collars), the set on the right is nearly instantaneous (turning the dial).

March 11, 2013 is the day that Clear Path, LLC was born - happy 12th anniversary to me!! That 12 years has included thousands of client training hours and continuing education hours, meeting and working with the best people, and actually loving what I do!

Q: What is the best time of day to exercise?

A: The "real life" answer to this question is different for everyone, because the best time of day to exercise is WHENEVER YOU WILL CONSISTENTLY DO IT.
If I found out that the most beneficial time of day to exercise is 6:00 am, I MIGHT be able to stick with that for a week - maybe. I would hate it.

There is "ideal" and there is "real life" - I try to use real life as my guidepost for my clients and for myself.
