Today marks the start of my final month in my generalist practicum! 🌟

From those nervous first client sessions in March to now, I’ve grown so much in applying the techniques I’ve learned. Im looking forward to my advanced practicum in October, but first, I’m excited to wrap up my portfolio and take a well-deserved break.

This journey has taught me that people just want to be heard, not judged, and I’m so grateful to be in a position to offer that space. I was able to learn and grow significantly from my 4 clients. In just one more month, I’ll be relaxing in Florida, reflecting on all I’ve accomplished.

These past ten months have been some of the toughest, but also the most rewarding. I have never pushed myself so hard in my academic life, let alone pushing my self even harder on my physical and mental health. 2025 has been crazy. With that said in one and a half years from now, I’ll be able to say I did it!! I’ll be a clinical psychologist! 💫👩🏼‍⚕️

you forgot this is what life is about 🕊️being 16 and falling in love. Growing up and growing together healing, choosing each other, cheering each other on watching your best friend graduate undergrad💌EVERYONE deserves a love this safe.because a healthy relationship is soft.it’s late night talks that turn into your reality’s. it’s space to grow and mess up.it’s being your full self and still being loved.it’s support without conditions.and ALWAYS celebrating each other’s wins!!! this love has taught me so much about safety, commitment, healthy boundaries and how to be an example— on to grad school and becoming an amazing psychologist! 🧑🏻‍🎓

Anxiety can branch out into so many areas of our lives—like fear, control, abandonment issues, a triggered nervous system, anger, and shame. By looking inward, we can identify what triggers our anxiety and understand how our experiences shape our responses. Maybe it’s fear, control or a triggered nervous system🙋🏼‍♀️🙋🏼‍♀️. One of my favorite tools is the ‘circle of control’ 🔘 focusing on what we can control and letting go of what we can’t. Embrace the journey of self-discovery and remember, you have the power to grow through what you go through!

“Making space” Literally and emotionally 🪴🫶🏼

It’s funny how that term is getting tossed around these days, but it is somewhat true! …in the right context. Creating a safe space isn’t just about the decor; it is about creating an environment where people feel free to open up, be themselves, and let their walls come down. It also affects YOU in a positive way! The energy we bring into that space can help others feel a welcoming presence that allows our souls to be seen. Take time to “make space.” 💫
