Norfolk Healthcare is pleased to introduce our new Director of Nursing, Jeff Smith.
With more than 20 years of nursing experience—most notably in Emergency and Trauma care—Jeff brings an exceptional depth of clinical expertise, strong leadership skills, and a true passion for patient-centered care.
In addition to his accomplished nursing career, Jeff has proudly served as a United States Marine, Medic/Firefighter, and Law Enforcement Officer. His lifelong commitment to service, discipline, and protecting others is evident in every chapter of his professional journey.
Throughout his career, Jeff has embraced both personal and professional growth, viewing lifesaving moments as among the most meaningful and rewarding experiences.
Outside of work, Jeff is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys camping, hunting, fishing, kayaking, and motorcycle riding.
He lives by one of his favorite quotes: “Loyalty above all things, except honor.”
We are excited to welcome Jeff to the Norfolk Healthcare family and look forward to the leadership, dedication, and vision he brings to our organization.

We are so proud to congratulate Kayla Martin Gregory on being named Nurse of the Month. Kayla consistently goes above and beyond for our residents. She is always willing to do whatever is necessary to make sure each resident feels cared for, comfortable, and respected. Her positive attitude, strong work ethic, and genuine compassion truly make a difference every single day. Our residents and our team are fortunate to have someone so dedicated and dependable. Since 1990, we've been helping patients in Norfolk and surrounding areas including Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Hampton, Poquoson, Portsmouth, and more. You'll find us just down the road from Sentara Norfolk General Hospital and Sentara Leigh Hospital.

We make it easy to stay close to your family and friends while you’re recovering, and our skilled team of nurses, therapists, and staff will make you feel right at home. Our rooms are cozy and bright, and our rehabilitation gym is constantly being updated with the most advanced equipment available.
