Delayed cord clamping (DCC) for one minute is said to transfer about 80 mL of blood from the placenta to the fetus.

New study finds that on average given DCC weigh about 24g more than those who did not have a delay.

Wonder where the extra grams went? 🤔

Now, I will say there are some that are truly tight and require quick action and some resuscitation after. This is very rare. More often than not, there’s no need for concern. ❤️

A nuchal cord occurs when the umbilical cord wraps around a fetus's neck during pregnancy or labor, a common, usually harmless, and non-preventable occurrence in about 1-in-3 .....33% of deliveries. The cord is protected with is what is called whartons jelly and can withstand much manipulation during pregnancy and birth.

We have an urgent need for some donor milk for one of my clients. This is a temporary need while we solve a weight gain issue so a small stash would be helpful. Thanks in advance if you’re able to help. Obviously all the crunchy requests for no vax or meds. Baby seems to be somewhat sensitive to spicy food but no other known allergies. Open to all help, if it comes down to it.
