20 years ago, “Redy” helped bring the Let’s Go! message to life to families. Do you remember Redy?

Fast forward 20 years – Let’s Go! has grown and evolved—but the message hasn’t changed: healthy eating and active living are still the foundation of good health.

During Nurses Week, Memorial was proud to recognize seven extraordinary nurses whose compassion, leadership, dedication, and commitment to excellence make a difference every day for our patients, families, and fellow care team members.

Each honoree was nominated by their peers — a meaningful reflection of the respect and appreciation they have earned from those who work alongside them. Chief Nursing Officer Kris Dascoulias RN noted, "Nurses are the calm during uncertainty, the steady voice during difficult moments, and the strength that keeps our teams moving forward. Whether at the bedside, in our clinics, supporting procedures, coordinating care, mentoring others, or leading teams, nurses make an extraordinary difference in ways that matter deeply."

Please join us in congratulating our 2026 nursing award recipients (pictured l-r):

Nurse As Teacher Award • Nicole Constantino, RN
Nurse Excellence-Ambulatory Practice Setting Award • Pam Robideau, RN
Nursing Excellence Award • Meghan Lahti, RN
Quality Improvement Award • Troy Shelhammer, RN
Daisy Award* • Therese Mergen, RN
Emerging Professional Award • Katie Armington, RN
Nurse Preceptor and Mentor Award • Malerie McArdle, RN (Not Pictured)

*The DAISY Award is an international recognition program honoring nurses for extraordinary compassionate care and clinical excellence.

Thank you to all Memorial nurses for the skills, kindness, and heart you bring to patient care every day.

At the heart of exceptional care is a team that values and uplifts one another.
During Memorial's Care Team Appreciation Week, our Gratitude Tree quickly filled with messages recognizing the compassion, teamwork, and dedication that define our culture every day. From small acts of kindness to extraordinary moments of care, these notes are a powerful reminder that appreciation grows when it’s shared.
We’d love to keep the gratitude going. Take a moment to leave a note in the comments to recognize a care team member who made a difference to you.

Congratulations to our latest team of first-year nurses finishing our Nurse Residency program. They’ve spent the past 10 months learning, growing, and supporting one another. From building confidence to tackling new (and sometimes surprising!) clinical experiences, they’ve embraced every opportunity with curiosity, teamwork, and a strong commitment to patient care.
This group also marks an exciting milestone as the first to graduate since our Memorial program received ANCC-accredited Nurse Residency Program with distinction, recognition that reflects both the excellence of the program and the outstanding nurses it develops.
We’re lucky to have you here in the Mount Washington Valley. Congratulations. You’ve earned this!
