Who This Training Is For: While this training is designed for mental health professionals, it is also highly relevant for nurses, occupational therapists, physical therapists, educators, and other helping professionals. In addition to clinical application, the material often supports personal reflection and self-discovery, making it meaningful for those interested in their own growth and development as well as their professional practice. What to Expect: This training gives clinicians a hands-on, trauma-informed way to bring nature, body-based awareness, relationships, and systems thinking into their work. Through experiential activities, reflection, and practical tools, participants will learn ways to support regulation, connection, resilience, and sustainable clinical practice. Participants will explore the basics of nature-based and animal-assisted therapy, how to use the body as a guide for awareness and regulation, how trauma affects relationships, and how to think about clients within the broader systems they live in. These ideas can be used across many different clinical settings. The training is very experiential and practical. Participants often describe it as welcoming, grounding, easy to apply, and meaningful both professionally and personally.
