Sean's weight loss journey The is my story from being a morbidly obese, food addict starting weight 470 goal weight 220. I stil My name is Sean Abel, I live in Central Missouri.

I have been a big guy most of my life. At one time I was in the US. Navy but was discharged due to my weight. In 2012 I found my father dying on the floor at the age of 62. He was in good health, and I really did not expect him to pass on so soon. After his death it made me take a long, hard look at my life and where it was headed. I was newly married to the love of my life, I had 2 great kids and now two great step kids. I was weighing in at around 430 pounds, wearing 58 size pants that were beginning to get tight and I was starting to wear 6xlt shirts. I realized that if I did not change the way I was living that I would be dead probably by the time I was 50 if not sooner. I had recently been diagnosed with type II diabetes, with high blood pressure and neuropathy in both feet. It was then that I decided that I was going to lose the weight, not just for me but for my family. Since I have started my journey I have lost around a 100 pounds I am wearing size 48 pants and 3lxt shirts. I am off of my diabetic meds and my high blood pressure meds. I have a goal weight of 220 pounds and I will enter and complete the Kansas City 70.3 Ironman competition. If you like my story and would like to see where this journey takes me please like my page.

Don’t let the scale define your journey. I would kick myself when the scale wouldn’t move. I had to change my mind set to figure out that the scale does not always tell the whole truth.

This is a hard mind set to get past, but once you do it becomes and obsession

Talking about working out and getting in shape is not the same as putting in the work. Quit talking and start doing!!! Let the inner BEAST ROAR!!!
