Being unheard in isn’t just frustrating, it can be life-threatening, especially for Black women.

The fact that women carry trauma into her doctor’s offices visit about being dismissed, overlooked, not believed. For Black women, it runs deeper. It’s history. It’s bias. It’s a constant fight to be seen.

So how do we navigate a system that doesn’t always see us?

I’m sharing a brief clip from a past interview with the amazing Kimberly Ketter on The Dr Robin Show, https://lnkd.in/eTEkFX82
We spoke on this very issue: what advocacy really looks like for a Black woman in a system that wasn’t built for her.

We speak.
We document.
We advocate louder, even when we’re tired. Because silence has consequences. Delayed care. Misdiagnosis. Worsened outcomes.

And we have to ask: are we being pushed into silence, or are we accepting a system that was never built for us?

At Heart Sistas Inc., we refuse silence. We’re creating real, necessary conversations about trauma, health, and advocacy because awareness without action isn’t enough.

Join us. Be part of the change.

Nearly 60% of women of color are living with some form of heart disease and far too many don’t even know it!šŸ‘€

That statistic isn’t just alarming… it’s personal.

Yesterday marked another year since my open heart surgery. What started as a fight to save my own life turned into something so much bigger. Along my journey, I saw firsthand the disparities in heart health, especially within my own household, my family, and our communities.

That’s why I created Heart Sistas… out of necessity, out of love, and out of a refusal to stay silent.

We are here because enough is enough.

I’m inviting you to be part of something powerful:
āœ”ļøJoin the movement

We are educating, empowering, and saving lives together.
