Living On Purpose w/ Carla D... So much has happened since my last post. Taking one day at a time and as the waves come I allow my emotions to ride. Deep breaths when my chest gets heavy and Affirmations to encourage myself to the shore. Landing on gratefulness and a reminder that I am surviving what should have drowned me. No Body But God's!!! ❣️

Had to stop by our favorite gourmet burger restaurant "Chadeni's" in Dallas, Oak Cliff... Their arnold palmers with moms homemade chocolate cake is to live a long life for. In my journey of self-discovery to Living On Purpose, I have found that it is necessary to learn when to let go and the importance of learning to let go quickly. For instance, I used to hold on to past mistakes, constantly replaying them in my mind, and it only kept me from moving forward. Too often, we hold on to things that no longer serve us and wonder why we are stagnant. 

In addition, as you heal, you will discover the wisdom in your silence. Make it a habit to pause before you respond to things. Count the cost. Ask yourself, is it worth my time to address it, or is it better left to the people responsible for the decisions that need to be made? This practice not only saves your energy but also ensures that your voice is heard when it truly matters, making you feel confident and secure. 

Understand that your time is not just valuable, it's the most expensive thing in your possession. Once your time is used, you can't get it back. Similarly, your energy is a precious resource. We often give these to things out of our control or no longer need our attention. Remember: Learn to control and take responsibility for the things in your power; if there is anything else, let go quickly. This is a way of respecting and valuing yourself.

Living On Purpose w/ Carla D... In my journey to becoming my most authentic self I have discovered that many of us are liars. I say this because most often before we ever lie to other people, we lie to ourselves first. I had to stop lying to myself and saying I was ok when I was not. I had to get honest enough and tell my tribe that I could no longer show up for them the way I used to because it was literally killing me. I was empty and on life support still trying to be present in ways that used to work. The hardest thing for me was getting clear and honest with myself and saying I was too broken down in every way to be helpful or productive in areas that I was gifted and educated in. AND... Finally getting to this point and no longer being ashamed of my pain and weakness was the beginning of me

Living On Purpose w/ Carla D... Learning to be comfortable in my own skin again!!! A lot has taken place in the last year and I am so grateful for my healing and my family & friends. I am here to remind you that we are not meant to do life alone. At times we may need to isolate to get better, AND... learn to be still enough and check in with yourself to know when you need the company of others. Thank you Sissy for this pic and for a great night out. I still wasn't fully well in this pic from a few months ago and didn't have the stamina to stay out long but my sister and her friends made sure I had a great time. Love you ladies 🥰🥰🥰❤️

Living On Purpose w/ Carla D... The journey of healing is always better when you are on the other side of your pain and suffering. For the past year, I have been on an intense path of healing my Body and it feels great to say I am finally catching my breath. It took a minute, some days were hit or miss and many other days were literally shaky. Definitely had a lot of "Lord can you hear me" and "Father please pass this cup". AND... God is amazing!!!

As difficult as some moments were, I wouldn't change anything. Letting go of judgement and getting to the place of operating in Spirit and Truth aided me in my healing mode. In obedience, when I finally surrendered to the Spirit of God and dealt with the reality of my failing health, I was able to hear what I needed to do for my healing process to begin.

I realized that learning to quickly let go of things that no longer served me enhanced my well-being by opening doors for clarity, direction and added time in my life, which gives me the ability to
