Taking a DNA Test is easy, you spit in a tube/vial supplied by the testing company, send it back to them, and wait 6 - 8 weeks for the results. THE PROCESS OF FINDING BIOLOGICAL RELATIVES: Part 1
There are 3 major DNA Kit testing companies . They do not share results. Each has it's own database and algorithms. I will use numbers from my own test with Ancestry.
My results show that I have 120,238 matches. From that number, 234 were close relatives, 1st and 2nd cousins. The remaining 120,004 matches are 3rd, 4th, and beyond. The further away the relationship, the more people there are in that grouping. My close family matches represents POINT 2%!

Recently, I spoke with an adoptee in his late 20's. He had taken a DNA Test with Ancestry and said that it did not tell him who his biological family was. I was not surprised! It isn't that easy! DON"T GIVE UP! I have researched for 10 clients and have identified their biological family in each case.
