The end of their first high school baseball season together, but truly the beginning of a lifetime.

Beau received the A.U.G.E. Award, an award about effort, character, consistency, and being the kind of teammate who makes people around you better.

One of the things that stuck with me most was hearing Rob emphasize that Beau had “experienced his wrath” while presenting him with this award. Honestly, it felt important. Because not every father and son can grind through a season together as coach and player. It asks a lot from both of them.

This season stretched them, challenged them, and refined them in different ways. Somewhere in the middle of all of it, I watched Beau’s character keep rising while Rob continued standing in the gap between what was and what is.

And they did it. ❤️

This one feels personal 🤍

Rooted Therapies was never just meant to be a business. It was built from lived experience, from growth, from the belief that people deserve a space to feel safe, seen, and supported as they heal.

To be nominated for Best of North Port means more than I can fully put into words. It reflects every client who has trusted us, every story held with care, and every step toward something healthier and more whole.

If Rooted Therapies has impacted you or someone you love, I would truly appreciate your support.

Last night 🤍

Syd’s soccer banquet with our teens, her award is upside down in the pic and honestly, that’s fitting!

Not long ago she was on the bench. Last night she was awarded MVP.

So proud of the grit it took to get here.

In this month’s podcast, we talk about parenting our kids through seasons like this. Listen by clicking the link in the bio.

Have you ever been driving and suddenly realized you turned the wrong way
Not because you meant to
But because it is the way you used to go

Your hands turned before your mind caught up

That is your subconscious

A large portion of our daily behavior is driven by automatic patterns
Habits
Old experiences
Learned responses

We are not always choosing
Sometimes we are repeating

Healing is noticing you are on autopilot
Growth is choosing a different road

And over time
That new road becomes your new normal

So many people want instant relief.

Leave the relationship.
Change the job.
Move out.
Shut down.
Medicate.
Avoid the conversation.
Numb the feeling.

And while sometimes change is necessary…
sometimes growth happens when we stay.

When we sit with the discomfort.
When we notice the sensation instead of escaping it.
When we build the capacity to move through hard things rather than around them.

Because when we grow our capacity…
we don’t just fix the moment.
We transform how we show up in every moment that follows.

Healing is not always about changing your situation.
Sometimes it’s about becoming someone who can hold more within it.

That’s where real growth lives.

Easter isn’t always about growth.
Sometimes it’s about grief.
Sometimes it’s about sitting in the space between what was and what is becoming.

Before the celebration, there was loss.
Before the joy, there was waiting.
And still, hope rises.

Wherever you find yourself today, you are not alone.
Light returns.
New beginnings often start quietly.

Happy Easter from our family to yours.

Confusion can be a difficult place to sit.

When words and actions do not align
When conversations leave you with more questions than answers
When you find yourself replaying moments trying to make sense of them

Confusion can slowly turn into self doubt.

You start asking yourself
Am I overthinking
Did I misunderstand
Am I expecting too much

But confusion is often information.

Clarity feels grounding.
Confusion feels unsettled.

Sometimes confusion is your mind trying to understand what your body already senses.

Instead of rushing to resolve it, it may help to slow down and notice
What keeps repeating
What feels consistent
What leaves you feeling unsure

Confusion is not weakness.
It is often an invitation to pause, reflect, and come back to what feels steady within you.

Clarity often begins there. 🌿

Adulthood is both wide open and wildly overwhelming.
In this clip, Kali reflects with on the paradox of your twenties.

On one hand, it’s empowering.
You could wake up tomorrow and move to Alaska if you wanted to.

On the other hand, for most of your life the path felt paved.
Elementary school.
High school.
College or trade.
First job.

Then suddenly, there are five hundred different doors.
Marriage. Travel. Career shifts. Roommates. Living at home. Starting over.

And when there are too many options, paralysis can creep in.
Kali shares that when she didn’t know how to face something, she would stay comfortable. Ignore it. Delay it.

But a bird that never leaves the nest loses more than comfort. It loses growth.

This conversation normalizes the tension. It is okay if your path does not look like someone else’s highlight reel.

It is okay to choose differently than the pressure around you.

There’s something about this moment… this is you.

All in. Joyful. Locked in. Leading.

Happy Birthday to the man who lives AUGE every single day 🤍

All You Got Everyday.
Not just on the field… but at home, in our family, in the quiet moments no one else sees.

I see the sacrifice.
The pressure.
The way you carry so much and still show up with heart.

And I love you for all of it.
Not for what you do… but for who you are.

Not every “next step” has to be the biggest step.

In this conversation, Kali shares a quiet but powerful milestone with Lisa Rowe

While navigating what it looked like to move out, there was encouragement to consider buying. Building equity. Thinking long term. The practical advice made sense.

But in the middle of focusing on her mental health and learning how to live on her own for the first time, something shifted.
An AC unit went out while she was dog sitting. She learned how to handle it. She realized she could.

And she also realized… she didn’t want that level of responsibility yet.

So she chose differently.

Not from fear.

Not from avoidance.

But from clarity.

“If it doesn’t go the way I think it will, it’s a year of my life. That’s okay.”

We call that growth.
Making decisions aligned with your capacity, not your pressure.
