Yesterday I did a little over 11 minute miles for the first time in years (granted, for only 3 miles). Today I hit 1.75 miles in only a month’s pool time. I am finally seeing results and I hope you are too with your fitness goals.

Anyone have any fitness events left in May? I know several of us are at the Under The Moon 5 km next month.

Late start saw me only get a 1.25 mile swim yesterday after work…only. Looking back, do you remember that amazing feeling when a hard goal progressed enough to be your “only” label? I will never forget the day I said that about 5 km distances..and recently I say the same thing about 10 km. No matter how small or big your “only” goal is, take a moment to reflect on what you did to get there! How much training it took you to go from “this is so hard” or “this sucks” to being your minimum.

I can’t believe I hit “only a mile” in 3 weeks! It was also my easiest attempt so I am twice as happy.

Good luck to all the NP Fusion 5 km runners today! I’ll be there for this one!

Day 3 of my quest to claim NP territory. I’m running 0:30 seconds/mile faster (that’s weird). I do not like these routes: very long, boring stretches of high traffic noise/car exhaust. Dot is Toledo Blade & Price. I’m the numbered blue pieces:

1.625 mile swim just now, same pace as Friday. Shoulder is tolerable but I might have to cap it at 1.75. AM gym was decent. I’ll flip it tomorrow, Am run/PM gym.

How are those fitness goals going? We need a name for the summer dreaded heat as it impacts our outdoor fitness plans.

After yesterday’s run+gym…rest day! Off to UCF to get 1/2 the dorm items. It’s been 2 straight weeks of some kind of exercise. Let’s see how I do.
