I am a 38 year old male in search of a living kidney transplant donor. I was diagnosed with chronic kidney failure in 1999 due to IgA Nephropathy, a build up of protein in the kidneys. On May 19, 2004, my brother gave me a gift that I will treasure for always, a kidney transplant. Thanks to him, I was given 8 years of a normal and healthy life. I was reunited with the love of my life, Tonya, and had the privilege of making her my wife in June 2012. I was starting the life I always wanted, a new marriage and a family by helping to raise my two step-daughters, Sydney and Alivia who are 12 and 7. However, in November 2012, I received the devastating news that the kidney was no longer functioning properly and would eventually reject. Dialysis was inevitable and I would need a kidney transplant once again. That day has arrived and I am currently undergoing dialysis 3 days a week. I work a job, take care of my family and try to lead a normal life as much as possible. I enjoy hunting, fishing, kayaking, basically anything involving the outdoors. It is hard at times and in order to live the life I want beside my wife and kids, I am in need of a life saving transplant. My blood type is A+ and my transplant hospital is MCV Medical Center, Richmond Virginia. If you would like to be tested as a potential living donor, you may contact my transplant coordinator, Maureen Bell at 804-628-0711 or mbell@mcvh-vcu.edu. Thank you for visiting my page. Thank you for your prayers and words of encouragement. I look forward to living a healthy life along side my wife and children; and with the help of a donor, I will have many more years to come God willing.
