Mission Statement: The Mount Desert Nursing Association’s mission is to improve the health, safety, and independence of the people of Mount Desert Island through the delivery of high quality and compassionate skilled nursing and other in-home health care services, advocacy, education and prevention programs. Please note special hours for Loan Closet Pickup/Drop off: MWF 9:30am-11:30am and T/Th 1:30pm-3:30pm. At this time we do not need crutches, walkers, commodes, or shower chairs for donation.

🌟 We love partnering with other local organizations whose goal is similar to ours: caring for our neighbors. A simple but powerful mission!

Island Connections is seeking volunteer drivers. Drivers volunteer their time and their vehicles to help our neighbors get where they need to go. Transportation to medical appointments, annual healthcare visits, and grocery stores keeps our senior and disabled MDI neighbors healthy, independent, and socially connected.
