Busy schedules are best met with careful planning! As a former teacher and bikini competitor, I recognized early on the need for easy-to-follow workouts and meal plans. Channeling my love for teaching into my work as a fitness professional, I hope to help others achieve health through custom tailored programs to your needs. Mothers, teachers, nurses, students all have different demands. Creating healthy lifestyle changes and building metabolism are important; I believe in health first. Complementary consults allow us to meet and discuss a plan custom built for you.

The FDA just made it easier for food manufacturers to substitute ingredients and for vending machine operators to ditch calorie information.

Notes: change the reps in the middle based on the weights you have. If 12 is too hard, do 8-10. If it’s too easy, bump up to 15!
I did this during Mila’s super short nap & we’ll run/walk outside later! 🤩

Monday PSA: Progress does NOT require perfection!

Mila & I went for our run loop this morning before her first nap!! We run for 10-20 minutes most mornings.

It’s HARD to prioritize workouts when you have a baby. Why? Because you love them more than you love yourself 100x over. When she was first born I had thoughts like

• “as soon as I’m cleared by my doctor, I’ll be at the gym an hour a day”
• “once she’s sleeping well, I can get into a routine again”
• “I don’t want to ignore her or miss out on playtime just so I can drive to the gym”

NOPE nope nope 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I did go back to the gym at 5ish weeks postpartum but I’d lost a LOT of my muscle and strength in that short period of time.

Sometimes it’s not spending 2 hours working out and driving to & from the gym. SOMETIMES it’s 10 or 15 minutes. Or home exercises with a baby for my dumbbell 😅 {girl’s getting heavy},
Or our little jogging loop around the neighborhood.

What I’ve found is, I do have to sacrifice to make those things happen, but I never have to give up things with her. Maybe there are a few dirty dishes at the end of the day, or maybe I have to bounce her on my knee while I get work done.

But she LOVES our runs in the stroller & I love
the time we spend together outside being active 🥰

Everyone (and especially you warrior mommas)- you don’t have to have your very best workout every single day. Move, move often & take the awesome workout days as they come to you 🤗

Thursday PSA! Successful people TAKE ACTION.

Decide what you want, and take steps toward that thing.

If truly desire HEALTH over other things, the results WILL come!

Feeling sorry for yourself, blaming your body or genetics, or letting a bad day drastically affect your decisions isn't helpful at all. It's okay to be frustrated! Your feelings are valid!! Just realize, no one ever got anywhere by complaining about their situation. People DO get places when they keep taking small steps forward (no matter how strong the wind may be blowing against them).

If you want something - GO GET IT!!!!

1. Your body isn’t broken & there’s nothing wrong with you.
1a. People always think something is wrong with them as a person if they’ve failed at a fitness or health endeavor. This is NOT TRUE. You need direction (coaching), practice, & training! Health is NOT discriminatory & is achievable with the right steps.

2. Food is not “good” or “bad”. And your worth as a human is determined by SO much more than the number on a digital scale.
2a. It takes time to break habits of weigh/worth association. It also takes time to LEARN about food so that you can decide when to eat what, how to add in your favorite things and how to take emotion & guilt out of your food routine. (Requires coaching, practice & training)

3. Stop trying to be a fitness model on day 1.
3a. Goals are vital, but realistic goal setting is the only kind of goal setting that matters. Trying to look like someone else is a lot less fruitful of a target than learning how to manage your life in incrementally healthier ways, building positive permanent habits, achieving happiness & making your body happy.
(To do so requires coaching, practice & training)

4. If you have a trainer, coach, mentor- TALK TO THEM!
4b. Tell us when you are having a hard week, we’re trained to help! Let us know when one of your objectives seems unattainable and let us work through it with you. Don’t be in this alone. (You are paying for coaching & teaching to help you practice this new way of life- use those resources!)
