What do they say? The early bird catches the worm

A productive day starts with a healthy night’s sleep.

You want to feel good, get a lot accomplished, and be your best?

Sleep hygiene comes first.

🐔Stop your doomscrolling early. You’ll need a solid 7-8 hours to feel your best.

☀️Put the phone down an hour or two before bed. Unwind with a meditation or read a book and get into a sleepy state.

🌻Lower the lights and put on those blue blockers. Blue lights mess with your circadian rhythm and make your body think it’s daylight, instead of nighttime.

🐔Magnesium spray or lotion applied topically releases quicker and more bioavailably into your bloodstream to help relax the nervous system and prepare your body for sleep.

If you had told the younger version of me, growing up in Brooklyn the amount of s**t I’d be cleaning up once my kids had grown out of diapers, I’d never believe you 😂

8 ladies and one gentleman flew the roost inside my sparkly clean house tonight and we came home to s**t everywhere!

Needless to say, these chickens are living out in the potting shed, for now.

Being a mom has been my greatest obstacle and my greatest joy

Being a mother has held up a mirror to all the parts of me that have always lurked in the shadows

And brought those struggles to the light

I couldn’t be more thankful to my kids for teaching me all of the lessons I have learned about myself, about them and about my responsiveness over the years

Having kids has made me into the person I am today

Without them, I wouldn’t be the fierce warrior

Without them, I wouldn’t know how strong I could be in the face of adversity

My kids are my world

I would do anything and everything for them

Including breaking down my ego to change what doesn’t serve our family

Every mother I know has a similar story

Their kids made them want to be the best versions of themselves

Moms need their kids and moms need other moms, too

Moms need moms to tell them they’re doing a good job

Moms need other moms for support

And moms need moms to set examples for other moms

I hope today, you get what you need: A day of comfort, a day of snuggles, love and rest.

You deserve it!

Sometimes it takes me a while to get on top of the latest viral recipe but when I do, it’s usually worth it

Check out this

My 15 year old sent me a ton of recipes so I finally had to try and both kids LOVED IT!

Sushi Bake (serves 4)

Ingredients

4 pieces of wild caught salmon
2 cups of white rice, cooked
2 tbsp onion powder
2 tbsp garlic powder
2 tsp of mirin
2 tsp of sesame oil
2 tsp rice wine vinegar
2 tsp coconut aminos
1/4 cup furikake seasoning
2 tbsp sesame seeds
1/4 cup of mayo
1/4 cup of hot sauce
1 whole avocado, sliced
Roasted Seaweed (optional)
Salt & Pepper to taste

Season your salmon filets with the onion powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Place your salmon 2 at a time (depending on the size of your air fryer) on a piece of parchment paper in your air fryer and air fry for 8 minutes at 375degrees F (or you can bake in your oven at 375 F for 20 minutes).

Cook your rice according to the packages directions.

Place your rice at the bottom of an oven safe dish and season with the mirin, sesame oil, rice vinegar, coconut aminos and mix well. Top with half of your furikake seasoning, half of your mayo and half of your hot sauce.

Preheat your oven to 375degrees F.

Once your salmon is cooked, let it cool slightly and flake on top of rice in your oven safe dish.

Place your dish in the oven for 8-10 minutes.

Top with the rest of your mayo, hot sauce and furikake. Add your sliced avocado and sesame seeds.

Serve with seaweed, if you want!

Since I don’t eat carbs, I kept my salmon separate and served with avocado and seaweed. So good!

I have always been the underdog

Maybe it’s because I grew up without money

Maybe it’s because I dive headfirst into things without knowing how I’ll accomplish it

But I always accomplish the thing

First it was when I decided to become a personal trainer

I was overweight, infertile and getting over postpartum depression

Movement helped me heal

And I started losing weight

I had a ton of haters but I did the damn thing anyway

I got certified and then learned about kinesiology and kept on learning to make every workout better than the last

When I told everyone at the gym that I was having a home birth,

Again the skeptics had their say

Back then I cared what they thought

But I did the damn thing anyway

When I took my kids out of school to homeschool and later started a co-op,

I had people tell me it was too hard to do what I was doing

But I did the damn thing anyway

I can tell this story over and over again with so many different circumstances from tennis to finishing my degree to moving and buying a homestead and living out our dream

I’m not any better than anyone else

I just have grit, am consistent and continue to show up through the tough times

If you’re struggling to do the thing, you have people doubting you or you’re doubting yourself,

Show up and do the damn thing anyway

Hills I’m dying on as a Transformational Health Coach

Nutrition and movement are the foundations of a healthy life.

💩Eat like s**t.
💩 Feel like s**t.
💩 Think like s**t.
💩 Look like s**t.

People pleasing is a trauma response:
We don’t just people please for people to like us; we people please because our nervous systems don’t feel safe telling our whole truth

You need protein to build muscles.
Protein = meat
Without animal protein, your muscles won’t carry you through old age. Do you want someone to have to pick your ass up off the toilet at 80 years old?

Or do you want to be able to pick yourself up?

Your health isn’t just physical.
If you don’t take your mental, emotional and spiritual health into account, you’ll still feel like you’re lacking.
Or you’ll feel dis-eased.

The body keeps the score.
if you don’t talk about/think about/move through your problems, your problems remain.
They stay stuck in your cells and it shows up in your body as dis-ease
Elimination diets don’t need to last forever but elimination diets give you the blueprint to what works and doesn’t work for your individual body.
The most important part (that most people miss) is the reintroduction phase

Stefani is a Transformation & Health Coach with a truly holistic and personalized approach to wellness. Her journey began in social work, where she supported families navigating trauma and abuse. 🐓If you got love to give, animals be easy to love….but they sure do p**p a lot!

🐓Expect to be surrounded by said p**p A LOT…cleaning it, scooping it, saving it for fertilizer

🐓Spring is the time when everything blossoms and all the work happens. If you slow down; you’ll miss the season.

🐓Even your down time is do time 😂 (Maybe you’re building raised beds in said downtime)

🐓Chickens grow….QUICKLY…if you don’t enjoy the moment, the moment is fleeting (same with kids)
