Congratulations to Scott, Physical Therapist at Stephens for recently receiving the PETAL Award! The PETAL Award recognizes, rewards, and celebrates the special skills and compassionate care provided by our patient care support team.

Scott recently worked with a patient who nominated him for exemplifying compassionate, patient-centered care. Following this patient’s spinal surgery, he provided skilled physical therapy while consistently showing kindness, flexibility, and genuine concern for his patient’s well-being during a very challenging time. Notably, he prioritized the patient’s health by recognizing when therapy needed to pause for self-care, without penalizing her dedication. Through his expertise and empathy, Scott helped her restore strength, confidence, and long-term tools for healing.

We are grateful to have him at Stephens. Please join us in congratulating him!

Congratulations to Abby, the recent recipient of the Good Catch Award here at Stephens Hospital!

The Good Catch program celebrates team members who notice and report situations that could have led to harm if they weren't caught in time.

Abigail recently identified that a medication label did not match the medication that was sent to the infusion center. In 2026, Pyxis logistics will prove barcode scanning for patient-specific dispenses, which will reduce these events.

Thank you, Abby, for your attention to detail and commitment to our patients!
