Image Description: “What is Blind Dodgeball?” “In this version of dodgeball, there are three groups of people: the throwers, the dodgers, and the instructors.

The throwers will be blindfolded, and directed by the instructors on where to throw the ball so they can hit a dodger. “

Happy last day of class everyone!

Just a reminder, for our last event of the year, TONIGHT Access-ABLE will be having an end-of-year celebration from 7-8:30 pm in Coleman Morse Lounge (building across from South Dining Hall, big first-floor room with fireplace). We will have snacks, drinks, fun stuff etc. for you guys to do and/or take to go.
Wear your Access-ABLE apparel if you have it!

Anyone is welcome even if you didn't RSVP! Feel free to bring friends, whatever will make this more fun for you :).

Thank you for your participation in the Disabled Enough and Leveling the Playing Field Week events.

Just a reminder, for our last event of the year, on the last day of class, Tuesday, May 11th, Access-ABLE will be having an end-of-year celebration from 7-8:30 pm in Coleman Morse Lounge. We will have snacks, drinks, fun stuff etc. for you guys to do and/or take to go.

This is just a note to remind you that tonight we have a big speaker coming, so it's really important that we have a good turnout!

Dr. Sara Basson, Accessibility and Inclusion Lead at Google, will be speaking to us about both her job and her role as the President of the Employee Resource Group for those with disabilities at Google.

Her talk will start at 7 pm. DM for Zoom link and her bio is below:

Sara Basson works at Google as “Accessibility Evangelist,” with the goal of making the experience of Googlers more accessible and usable, through enhancements to technologies and education and advocacy around accessibility. In previous roles, she worked at IBM Research on Speech Technology, Accessibility, and Education Transformation. Sara holds an M.B.A. in Management/Marketing from Stern School of Business, New York University, and a Ph.D. in Speech, Hearing, and Language Sciences from The Graduate Center of the City University of New York. She also holds an Honorary Doctorate degree from Saint Mary’s University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, in recognition of her extensive activities using speech technologies to enhance accessibility in the educational arena. Sara serves on the Executive Board of Directors of AVIOS, a speech technology applications professional organization, and also on the Board of Directors for Lexington School for the Deaf.
