Health, as most of us are now re-learning in our culture, is comprehensive and holistic. Emotional, physical, spiritual, social and psychological aspects all work together to either create a sense of balance and well being, or, if not in align, can be factors behind pain and dis-ease. Massage therapy, the foundation of Wholeself Health, is an extremely beneficial technique for isolating physical issues and bringing attention to possible underlying causes. I am a state certified Massage Therapist, have a background in personal training and fitness and am currently studying advanced Myofascial Release and Orthobionomy - which are two very different massage techniques; the first being a direct, often deep approach that addresses restricted fascia/muscles and aims to release tension. The latter is a gentle, non-invasive system of healing that reminds the body of its natural ability to restore balance. It is based on a simple and profound philosophy: allow the body to correct itself. I hope to integrate both modalities into an effective, well-rounded approach that is based on listening to each person's individual needs. When we feel better in our own bodies, we are generally more energized. This type of "renewable energy" as I see it, is the cornerstone of what Wholeself Health is about. Take care of the body, address emotional and psychological factors, and create a boundless energy that can and should be used toward bettering the greater community thru volunteerism and other efforts which then in turn feeds social and spiritual needs. Wholeself Health is connected with various non-profits and, coming soon, we will have options that allow for receiving our services in exchange for you offering your time or resources to these nonprofits. All within us is connected; we are connected to all.
