Bon Fire on the Beach
Tuesday, October 21st

Meet at the 19th St. East Beach Access

Bring a chair, a drink and a hand held food (ie sandwich, apple, etc)
Be prepared to tell a story (preferably a story that you participated in, but… your call)
Diane will provide homemade acorn squash soup, guacamole and chips, and spiced cider and she will gather the wood and get the fire started
In preparation, please watch storyteller Donald Davis or Jeanne Robertson on youtube to get inspired and be creative with your storytelling.

Tonight is a full flower moon in the sign of Scorpio! It’s a potent time for setting intentions of transformation and emotional depth 🌸🌷
What are you choosing to transform?

The Full Flower Moon is about to bloom – and it’s your last chance to catch a micromoon in 2025 🌸

On the evening of Monday, May 12, step outside and look to the southeast. You’ll spot May’s full moon rising – and this time, it's a micro, Flower Moon! And no, it won’t be covered in petals (though that would be amazing). The name comes from the seasonal blooms that burst to life across North America this time of year.

What makes this year’s Flower Moon extra special? It’s a micromoon, meaning it’s at the farthest point in its orbit from Earth – over 251,828 miles (405,278 km) away. That makes it appear slightly smaller and dimmer than usual, but also more ethereal, casting a soft silvery glow across the springtime Earth. It’s a perfect moment for stargazers, romantics, and photographers alike.

📍 Here’s when to look up:
• New York: Sunset at 8:03 p.m. EDT | Moonrise at 8:31 p.m.
• Los Angeles: Sunset at 7:45 p.m. PDT | Moonrise at 8:15 p.m.
• London: Sunset at 8:40 p.m. BST | Moonrise at 9:07 p.m.

As it climbs into the twilight sky, the Flower Moon will glow alongside Antares, the red heart of the Scorpius constellation – a fiery jewel beside the moon’s calm light.

So grab a blanket, find a field (maybe with a few flowers 🌼), and enjoy the final micromoon of the year.
