Children learn faster when they work on a skill via an activity they prefer; we did a slow motion video while moving fast (which we really like) and then we watched the video and talked about how fun and good it also feels when we move slowly. Slowing our body down helps with processing skills, taking better decisions (during a school test, for instance), paying attention, and being safer while moving in the environment.

Is it “Picky Eating” or is it something more? 🔍🥣
If your child struggles with certain textures, gags easily, or finds eating “hard,” we understand. This isn’t just about food preferences; it’s often a sign of underlying challenges.
This is NOT a general OT sensory eating intervention. Our new program offers specialized, intensive support specifically for pediatric feeding disorders.
We combine the gentle, trust-based Responsive Feeding Therapy (RFT) with the function-first framework of Feed the Peds®.
We look beyond the plate to address: ✅ Oral-motor skills (how the mouth moves) ✅ Sensory processing ✅ Breathing & airway health ✅ The feeding relationship
It’s about giving your child the skills to eat and the safety to try, without power struggles. Just real, specialized support for their development.
