Your Role & Impact
As a vital member of our interdisciplinary-minded team, you will:
Design and administer treatment plans that increase independence in ADLs, play, and feeding, and sleep.
Own Your Expertise: Manage a caseload that allows you to cultivate a niche in Feeding or Reflex Integration.
Address executive functioning and motor coordination through a neuro-affirming lens.
Coach families and create home programs to ensure success beyond the clinic walls.

Requirements:
Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy and a valid Illinois License.
Experience: Candidates with Level II fieldwork experience in a pediatric outpatient setting or 1 year of general pediatric experience.
Clinical Interest: A strong desire to utilize or learn DIR Floortime, Feeding therapy, Reflex Integration, and Sensory Integration.

Children learn faster when they work on a skill via an activity they prefer; we did a slow motion video while moving fast (which we really like) and then we watched the video and talked about how fun and good it also feels when we move slowly. Slowing our body down helps with processing skills, taking better decisions (during a school test, for instance), paying attention, and being safer while moving in the environment.
